Karaoke Hit List -- My Actifit Report Card: September 2 -- 4, 2026

It was my partner's bestie's BDay this week, so I made a few emoji pics for her birthday. I hope she knows it's the thought that counts. I wish it was the thought that counts getting these steps counted. I've been MIA since Tuesday, but these steps keep walking themselves.

With all the madness unpacking at the new apartment, it has been slim pickings trying to find time to sneak in an @Actifit post. Luckily, after a consistent week of 10K+ days at school, I finished Friday afternoon singing Karaoke with some of the usual suspects from school at the neighborhood Buchwick local 233 Starr.

I started with a few Avicii videos to warm up: Wake Me Up and Waiting For Love. Then I did a few hip hop ensemble pieces covering the male lead like Boom Boom Pow, Hotline Bling, and Ice Ice Baby. Then I sang a few tracks like Basket Case (Green Day) and Nothinf Elae Matters (Metallica).

I finished the night with a slew of my hip-hop classics including The Beastie Boys' Paul Revere; CamRon's Hey Ma; Kanye & Rihanna's All Of The Lights; and closing with Ludacris & Nicky Minaj's My Chick Bad. We went out with a bang and it was still light outside.

I made it to Takahashi in time for 30% off pastries and grabbed a few desserts. Then it was a few hours of tidying up before I collapsed in a heap on the bed. We made the magic happen this week and I'm excited for a "lazy" 3-day weekend.
