Since I got the realization that God is love, a lot of things changed, including how I view the concept of love in general. It was love that led Jesus to the cross, it was love that made him heal the lame and raise the dead, and it was love that made God give men his spirit to dwell among them. The Bible says his love endures forever, and we have seen this countless times as his mercies prevail daily. It is because of his love that he knocks at our door daily, waiting and longing for the day we open the door for him to come in.

A lot of people claim love isn't enough, and by this they talk about the secular aspect of connection. Unfortunately, a lot of people have used the word "love" countless times without actually knowing what love truly means. It takes God's spirit to live up to the definition of love, and it takes deliberate renewing of one's mind again and again to attain it. 1 Corinthians 13 talks about the character of love. It may sound easy to the ears, but it takes God's spirit to harbor love in your mind.
God is love because his characteristics are the character of love. Whoever does not love does not know God, and one cannot claim to love God when the characteristics of love aren't found in them. Love is enough when God dwells within a man because it shapes everything that life holds. Even tongues fail, prophecy fails, and everything that is honored, but among them all, love never fails because love is enough. When God is there, everything answers. In the equation of life, everything plus God gives the exact answer, but whatever is added, as long as God is missing from the equation, the answer becomes zero. This is because God is love and God is enough.
