Honeyback Is on Google Play: Android Friends, Come Fly

Honeyback, the kind little flying game we introduced last week, is now live on Google Play.

iPhone friends, hang in there. The App Store version is still in review and we will post the link the day it lands.

What is waiting for you

  • Tap to rise, let go to glide. One finger, one bee, gates that get faster the further you fly.

  • Crashed? Rewind. Take back a few seconds and try the gate again. No harsh game over.

  • Send honey once a day to another player. Kindness comes back as karma.

  • Bring a faded garden back stage by stage and watch the bee change with it.

  • Daily quests, streaks and leaderboards for today, this week and all time.

No account needed. If you are on Hive, link your name through Ecency, HiveSigner or Keychain so it shows on the leaderboard and on the honey you send. No keys ever enter the game.

A small ask

The first days decide a lot for a new game on Google Play. If you have an Android phone:

  1. Install it and fly a few runs.

  2. Send your first honey. Someone out there will get it.

  3. Leave an honest rating or review on the Play Store.

  4. Tell us what you think in the comments. Bugs, ideas, your best score, all welcome.

    Thank you so much, Ecency team! I just read this post and am downloading the app right from the Google Play Store right now to see how everything works. Thank you truly for bringing this app to us so quickly. You made a post earlier saying this app would arrive very soon, and ever since then, I've been looking forward to when it would finally come out.     That rewind feature sounds pretty forgiving for someone as clumsy at mobile games as me. Glad to see the Android release finally made it through.

    Congratulations on the launch, @ecency! A bee that glides through gates with one finger is a lovely idea, and I like that you don't need an account to play but can connect with Hive through Ecency, HiveSigner or Keychain if you want. The daily honey you can send to other players is a sweet touch for a community game, and the rewind after a crash will be a relief for clumsy fingers like mine. 😄

    I love honey (it's a big part of life at our agriturismo), so I'm going to download Honeyback and see how far my bee gets. I'll play in between chasing hens around the vegetable garden, backbreaking chores and walks with @choko.shock...

    When will it be released on iOS as well?

    Complimenti per il lancio, @ecency! Un'ape che plana tra i cancelli con un solo dito è un'idea carina, e mi piace che non serva un account per giocare ma si possa collegare Hive tramite Ecency, HiveSigner o Keychain. Il miele giornaliero da mandare agli altri giocatori è un tocco dolce per un gioco di community, e il riavvolgimento dopo uno schianto sarà un sollievo per le dita maldestre come le mie. 😄

    Amo il miele (fa parte della vita del nostro agriturismo), quindi scaricherò Honeyback per vedere fin dove arriva la mia ape. Giocherò tra una rincorsa di galline nell'orto, lavori massacranti e passeggiate con @choko.shock...

    Quando uscirà anche su iOS?

    The rewind-after-a-crash mechanic is a nice touch, nothing kills a one-more-run game faster than a harsh game over.
