Hola amigos || Hello friends
I’m a huge fan of both DC and Marvel animated movies, although when it comes to animation, I definitely prefer DC Comics’ films a thousand times over. Especially the Batman ones. I’m a huge fan of this hero who, with nothing but cunning and his fists, has managed to save Gotham City from total chaos. Ever since I was very young, I’ve considered myself a Batman fan. My favorite hero. And it all started because the first time I went to the movies was to see Batman Returns. Yes, that 1992 movie. I went with my dad and mom, and I’ll never forget that huge theater packed with people, the thunderous sound, the giant bucket of popcorn, and my favorite hero on the big screen. At that moment, I felt like I had it all.
But as the title says, I’m not here to talk about that movie; I’m going to give my opinion on Batman: Knightfall Part 1, and to start off, I’ll just say that the movie really surprised me, which is why I want to talk about it. I’ve wanted to talk about it for a while, but I couldn’t find it on the scrobble.life search engine until today, when I tried again and it showed up. I’d been following the news about this release for a while, and in fact, I watched it the day after it came out due to the limitations of my streaming service I use Xuper TV, which is almost like free-to-air TV with all the channels and movies, both classics and new releases. Like any fan, I was really looking forward to it.
In the main plot, we encounter a much more intelligent Bane, very similar to the one from the old comics. He isn’t just a simple adaptation of Bane a mere muscular and dangerous man. Here, he has proven himself to be a skilled strategist. Bane doesn’t attack Batman head-on; instead, he plans to destroy Arkham to free all the villains, which puts Batman in a difficult position since our beloved vigilante won’t rest until he has all those villains behind bars. Thus, the destruction of Arkham forces Batman to relentlessly hunt down each of the most dangerous villains for weeks on end, leaving him in a state of extreme physical and psychological exhaustion. This is a side of Batman we’ve never seen before.
The film is directed by Jeff Wamester, and for those of you who don’t know him, he’s a director who has worked extensively on both the DC Comics and Marvel franchises, crossing the boundary between the universes in his animated adaptations. That alone had me expecting great things from the film. What stood out to me was the adult, uncompromising tone the film unquestionably embraces its rating, showcasing the city’s cruelty and harshness while making you feel the tension at every moment. The fights without a doubt, the fights were another strong point of the film are really intense, showcasing true hand-to-hand combat. The story and animation have a few minor issues, but I won’t go into detail about them since they’re production-related. There will always be those gaps to fill, and I hope that by the second installment, they’ll surprise me even more.
Me recuerda mucho a Seiya ja ja ja…
To wrap things up, Batman: Knightfall (Part 1) is a reminder of why I love this character. It’s not because he seems invincible; what makes him great is his spirit even when he’s on the verge of physical and mental collapse, he refuses to give up. A little joke to wrap things up, ha ha ha…
I imagine there are more fans of this hero around here, so if by any chance you haven't seen this movie, that's exactly why I'm here: to invite those who haven't seen it to enjoy this wonderful animated film. And well, as always, this is just my opinion. I invite you to share yours.
