"Nada más quien piensas" es una de las canciones icónicas y reflexivas de la discografía del cantautor colombiano de música cristiana Alex Campos. Se remonta al inicio oficial de la carrera musical del artista. La canción fue lanzada originalmente en el año 1999 como parte de su álbum debut titulado “Tiempo de la Cruz”. Esta primera producción discográfica se grabó completamente en vivo desde el antiguo auditorio de la iglesia El Lugar de Su Presencia en Bogotá, Colombia. Posteriormente, cobró una enorme popularidad internacional cuando se incluyó en una versión completamente renovada dentro de su aclamado álbum Acústico - El Sonido del Silencio en 2006.
"Nada más quien piensas" resalta por su profunda humildad y devoción espiritual. El tema expresa el deseo humano de querer ofrecer lo mejor a Dios (deseando ser un ángel, un rey con riquezas o un gran pintor). Sin embargo, el mensaje central aterriza en la aceptación de la propia sencillez: el intérprete reconoce que no es un gran pastor, profeta ni un personaje de alta alcurnia, sino simplemente "un corazón enamorado de Ti" y un hijo agradecido.
La canción presenta una fusión de pop-rock con influencias de la música alternativa y ska, característico de su banda acompañante de aquel entonces, llamada Misión Vida. La producción original estuvo a cargo de Freud Romero y Esteban Machuca. La versión acústica (2006) adoptó arreglos orgánicos e íntimos basados en guitarras acústicas, cuerdas y piano. El tema musical sirvió como piedra angular para cimentar el sonido de Alex Campos en el ámbito de la música cristiana contemporánea. Comparte espacio histórico con otros himnos del artista grabados en esos mismos años formativos, tales como "Al taller del maestro" y "Me dijo", consolidando un legado que le ha valido múltiples Premios Grammy Latinos y Premios Arpa a lo largo de su trayectoria profesional.
