Predictable Weather Makes Life Easier | LOH #312

There are somethings that I love occurring unexpected. Like when listening to my playlist on Spotify. I prefer it to be on shuffle. I like it when I don’t know the song that is going to play next. But when it comes to weather changes, I think I prefer it being predictable.

This way you can plan ahead for the next season coming ahead. In the case of a farmer, the person would be able to start making preparations with regard to farming because of his consciousness that rainy season is approaching.

I’ve gotten used to seasons attached to particular months of the year and I think it makes sense that way. But if there’s one season I prefer the most that would be the Harmattan season.

One thing I love about it is the cool breeze that blows especially in the early hours of the morning and the evening. I think I enjoy this season best during the evenings. It doesn’t necessarily need rainfall to make the atmosphere cool and chilly. Another thing I love about it is that it comes around my favourite time of the year; which is during the Christmas / New Year holidays.

Though it has its shortcomings as well. One is, just as the intensity of the cold can be that’s the same way the heat in the afternoon can also be intense. Another thing I really dislike about it that affects me most of the time is the cracks it leaves under my feet and my heels. It can really be disturbing to look at. But I noticed that my skin only reacts this way when I am in the northern part of my country. It’s like the Harmattan season hits different over there. Also, the dryness it can cause to the skin generally can be also annoying. During such seasons it is very easy to obtain a wound if you’re not cautious.

But I guess no weather or season is perfect. They all have their own flaws and negative sides as well. But among all of them, Harmattan season seems to be the only one I can cope with just fine. When it comes to heat, there are days where the weather is completely void of intense sunshine, making the weather cool. And when it comes to rainfall, there are some weeks that throughout it doesn’t rain, and yet the weather will still be cool. The biggest flex for me with this Harmattan season is the cold it comes with. It makes one relax easily; both during the day and the night.

I love catching sunsets and sunrises; I take a few minutes to enjoy them. It’s a great idea to enjoy them with some music. Sending a hug.

Me encanta atrapar los atardeceres y los amaneceres me tomo unos minutos para disfrutarlos. Es una buena idea disfrutarlos con musica. Un abrazo.

I relate to the cracked heels during Harmattan, and I like how you enjoy those cool evenings and the Christmas holidays. Thanks for sharing.

Harmattan season is one I despise while growing up and that's because of back then being a young child who's playful, if I get injured, it's usually takes time for the wound to heal compared to other seasons.

Fast forward to present day, I actually like it too, but won't rate it the highest in my book because I look cool weathers.
