Age Doesn't Matter, Wrongs Should Be Punished

All over the world, children and women are considered vulnerable and treated with all levels of care, and it's not wrong.

I am going to focus on teenagers and children in this prompt. A child is a project in the hands of the parent and society. The way the child is handled has a potent capacity to determine what the child becomes afterwards.

It's sad how some parents and societies, because of love, neglect the place of discipline and punishment while grooming the child.

Children will commit grievous offences, and instead of addressing it right away by judging it just as it is supposed to be, they allow emotions to cloud their judgements and end up pardoning the child.

The absence of punishment is not love in any form; whether it is a child, a woman, or a man, when wrong is done, the right thing should be done.

However, where the problem lies is the kind of punishment that is given. The weight of punishment is a very important factor to consider when involving punishment.

As much as I am for punishment, I also point to the fact that punishment is intended to correct and not to harm.

If one's intention is to inflict injuries or create unbearable pain on people as a reminder of what they once did, then that person is evil.

Punishment is supposed to be born out of love and not hate, anger, or emotions. Anything outside of love is no longer punishment but wickedness.

To the question of whether children should be overlooked when they commit offences or not, it is direct: if the child can commit crimes, why won't the child face trial?

In society and at home, morals are taught; children grow up with a knowledge of good and evil. In fact, most of them know more of good than of evil, and then a child like that will go and do something terrible, and you expect him or her to go scot-free because of their age?

No doubt they are naive and lack the ability to make logical decisions, but that's not an excuse.

If they are allowed to do things and go pardoned, they won't understand what life truly is and what offense stands for.

So, it doesn't matter whether it's a child or not; when the person is wrong, punishment should be assigned.

The problem is that when we mention punishment, many think it's always about administering tough and harsh treatments to people.

It's not always about that; there are several ways to punish people, it must not be cruel before they realize their wrongs.

Children should also be tried and be served punishment where necessary, but the weight should be based on their age.

If we take age out, certain punishments can be too difficult for children, and instead of correcting them, they might feel like they are being hated rather than loved.

And what this can do is either make them resistant to punishment or instill fear in them, and to be honest, that's like adding fuel to the fire.

Small towns crime is fine the punishment that is meant to be given to an adult should not be given to a child because he or she committed to come it should be lesser depending on the gravity of the crime.

When a wrong is done a child should know there's consequences for that crime that have committed and so they should learn from the little misbehaving they do before it turns to something else.

Truly age does not matter when it involves crime. Minors should have set down laws for serious crimes.

Experience they say is the best teacher . Enjoy your weekend @emreal 💕

I agree that accountability matters, but minors also need guidance and rehabilitation appropriate to their age. Balance is important. ❤️

  • I also agree with you but we should not give minors the punishment meant for adults

  • I believe so too just that we should not guve minors the punishment that is meant for te adults
