Another Year Gone: Lessons And Expectations

Src

One thing I have learned to do lately is to give thanks and be optimistic about everything regardless of the circumstances around.

I used to think that life is supposed to be easy while we progress from one level to another but it turns out that each step we walk through is only preparing us for the step ahead.

Nothing will ever be easy, we just adjust and adapt to fit the demands. Don't get me wrong, one can be having a nice job and earning well, but instead of things becoming soft and easy, bigger challenges will come.

The more you grow, the more your battles, regardless of whether you are doing well or not and you will have no option rather than to figure out ways to tackle them.

This year was one of the years I put so much expectations on. I had plans, I had dreams, and I don't know how I was able to convince myself that all was going to come into reality before the year runs out.

The positivity surrounding my life increased my faith in my life becoming better this year, especially with regards to finance, but things turned out to be less of what I expected.

I was broken at some point, what hurts the most was seeing my peers celebrating wins; financially, academically and so on.

But I had to encourage myself and take another step, and honestly, I really appreciate the fact that I didn't remain in that state of discouragement.

There are many things I noted this year and I think I started this content with it; “things will be better is an illusion,” there's no level in life without its unique devils, prepare your mind for battle always.

Be positive about life, but never put expectations, instead of building you, if those things don't come, you would be broken.

Nobody will love you better than your family. People will turn their backs on you just when you need them the most, but your family will stand by you even on the worst days.

Love your parents and show them love in whatever way you can, life is short, let them know you appreciate their effort and labor, you never can tell what the next moment holds.

So many other things but I will hold it here. For the rest of the year, I am still positive, the economy is bad, life is difficult but we will keep pushing.

I may have to carry so many goals that I have set for the year over to next year and that hurts a lot but it's not making me flinch, I will keep going anyway.

I don't know why I have the feeling that things will turn out to be fine soon. Each time I recall the BTC story, how it was nothing at one point and then it came into the limelight.

And then crashed again and rose beyond what anyone could have imagined and now it is down again but is that the end of it? Who knows what's coming next?

What's the lesson? Life is full of ups and downs, one bad or good experience or moment should never define the journey; whether winners or losers, if we are on the right path, the paramount thing is that we should keep going.

This is really necessary, every moment you have with your parents should be peaceful, beautiful and appreciate them, learn to understand they are human too. Because you really don't know tomorrow. Not just our parents but everyone around us. Nice post, thanks for sharing 😊
