[Movie] You, Me & Tuscany (2026) - Review

I am not so much of a love movie fan, but it happens that each time I give it a shot, I end up enjoying the whole thing.

This movie has been on my phone for almost a month and I have been avoiding it because of the love thing and of course the title. You, Me & Tuscany sounds ridiculous and unserious to me.

But I mustered the courage to finally watch it, and it was worth the time.

You, Me & Tuscany was released in 2026. It was directed by Kat Coiro and written by Ryan Engle and Kristin N. Engle. Starring Hail Bailey, Rege-Jean Page and Lorenzo De Moor.

The genre is comedy, romance and family. The film runs for 1hr 45mins.

Anna seemed to be unlucky as she always screw things up as a result of her desire to enjoy life.

She lost her House keeping job after her boss caught her wearing her clothes and carrying her pet around as though she owns it.

While grieving for her job, she decided to go out to grab a drink in order to cool off, and that's where she found Matteo, an Italian handsome, young man who left home for reasons left to him.

The two blended so well within one night and before the day broke, Matteo had left, leaving behind a note asking Anna to come to Italy to one of their family's properties.

Out of curiosity and the desire to have a better life, Anna took the risk and traveled to Italy.

Being a good person, Anna was loved by Matteo's family, however she had to lie that she is Matteo's fiance and they were engaged.

Her lies went perfectly well as she wore one of Matteo's rings, how she got it is a long story that you may have to watch the movie to uncover for yourself.

Eventually, Michael, Matteo's cousin and Anna met and instead of being just inlaws, they liked each other but both had to suppress their feelings and maintain boundaries.

Anna was loved of the family, and being a chef made her win Matteo's fathers heart speedily.

Matteo eventually got back home, but he was surprised to meet Anna and the relationship she had built with his family.

Instead of calling things off and telling everyone the truth, Anna and Matteo played along.

Unfortunately, the feeling wasn't mutual and Matteo was a cheat and playboy. Anna couldn't bear it anymore, she likes Micheal but Matteo was an obstacle.

She was left with the options of telling the truth and risking her place in the family but give Micheal a chance or maintain the lies and remain with someone she doesn't love.

I really liked the movie because beyond all the love activities, it teaches about sincerity, embracing one's dreams and knowing the value of truth.

Love is a beautiful thing and we must learn how to let it come naturally, rather than to force it just to please others.

The choice of environment in this film was top-notch. The hills and surroundings covered by trees and beautiful flowers were captivating. I won't forget to mention the beauty of the grape plantation.

Anna did well with her performance, she was just that young lady I would almost describe as naive but knows exactly what she wants.

I am impressed with her funny behaviors, and how she acts on things without necessarily taking a second thought when her mind is made up.

Matteo's grandmother also did well with the display of the suspicion she carried right from when she first met Anna, until when the truth was eventually revealed. I find her activities hilarious and it made the movie quite entertaining.

Most of the characters did a nice job and they deserve to be given their flowers.

There's nothing perfect in life and it applies to almost all movies. You, Me & Tuscany seemed to rush the chemistry between Anna and Micheal. Love stories always feel nice when they are given breathing space for the chemistry to develop gradually.

I will recommend this movie to those who are interested in romantic movies, the love in this one was deep and relational, you would enjoy it.
