My Language Learning is Alive and Thriving!

Where am I right now in my journey? Day 942 of my learning streak!

Now that Duolingo gives a number score for every language, it is easier to see my progress. A score of 10 means introducing yourself, 30 means you can order in a restaurant, 50 means you can give directions to a place, 90 is watching a TV show, 110 is communicating at work, etc. Here is where I am:

English: my native language!

German: 67 (leveled up!) Italian: 45 (leveled up!) Norwegian: 29 Dutch: 19

French: 16 Spanish: 13 Russian: 12 Greek: 10 Korean: 10 Portuguese: 10

Polish: 7

Welsh: 6

I studied German in college. One of my professors quipped that when one learns a second language, one becomes illiterate in two languages. I know what he meant; when I was still fluent in German, I would get the two languages mixed up in my head and in my sentences sometimes. I can't imagine learning as many languages as you are! Good for you!
