BELLIGERATIVE SYSTEM OF CONQUEST
Greetings, dear friends with a passion for photography. On this occasion, I share with you a collection of previously unpublished photographs that capture various perspectives of one of Venezuela’s most iconic pieces of military architecture: the Castle of San Antonio de la Eminencia. Built in Cumaná during the 17th century, it stands as a sign and symbol of imperial colonial rule—the military hegemony of the Spanish Crown on American soil. # Through the lens, the focus rests on fragments of the landscape as seen from the highest points of this fortress, where centuries-old stone engages in a direct dialogue with the vastness of the surroundings. Within this field of view, one can also discern the remnants of weaponry—tools once used both as a means of subjugation and for strategic defense.
