HiveRaven
HiveRaven is a website with a collection of some very interesting Hive related tools. The website and tools are created and maintained by @gwajnberg. I came into contact with him @gwajnberg when I had created my Hive Account Health Dashboard. I created this dashboard (actually AI created it for me) because I wanted to visualize some stats that, in my eyes, reflect how valuable a Hiver is to the chain. He was also looking into this and was building his own toolset for this. Since his tools looked and worked way better than mine, I suggested him to 'adopt' my tool and integrate it into his dashboard, which he did. You can check it out here: https://hiveraven.vercel.app/health
HiveRaven has a couple of very interesting tools with which you can get quite some good information about the behavior of users on Hive. It can give you information about who is adding value to the chain and who doesn't. I find this information very valuable since I want to support Hivers that add value to Hive instead of those whose actions harm Hive.
If you are interested in the behavior of your fellow Hivers on the chain, you should really check out some of the tools.
You can check account health, discover new users, look at downvotes, watch DHF funds and to a Hivian discovery. And.... take a look at the flow of Hive leaving the chain.
Exodus
Exodus is an interesting HiveRaven tool. When you open the tool you immediately see a some stats that tell how much Hive has left Hive via known exchanges over the past 30 days.
I find it quite shocking to see that in the last 30 days 9.76 million Hive was extracted from the blockchain, representing a value of $478 thousand dollar. That is almost a half million 🤔
Under the graph there is a table that shows the different exchanges and the percentage of the extraction that takes place via the specific exchanges. Binance is #1 with 43.6%. The second one is MEXC (I had never heard of that one before), that was responsible for another 41.7% of the extracted funds.
Another interesting thing you can do is click on the exchanges. Doing this will show you an extra table below which contains the accounts that have sent the funds to these particular exchanges. These accounts are sorted by the amount of funds they have sent to the exchanges, sorted high-low.
And now what?
First I want to make clear that this blog is not meant to be to start a which hunt for those who extract Hive. Everyone has the full rights to do whatever they want with the Hive they have earned. People have their reasons to extract their funds. And some may even extract it to use it for Hive related projects.
What I do want to show with this blog is visibility of what is happening. A lot of Hivers, both on Hive as in the Discord channels discuss about the DHF and the money, which is indeed important. But the extraction of Hive, in my opinion, sometimes gets a bit overlooked.
I'm wondering if you already knew about HiveRaven and the Exodus tool, if you use it and what you think about it.
PS. I've experienced @gwajnberg as a skilled developer that wants to improve his tools and really listens to feedback people give on his tools. And also implements changes quickly if he agrees with the feedback.
