Good morning, Hive-ians! 😊
It’s been a busy couple of weeks and the days have vanished before my eyes, or so it seems. We’ve gotten our garden beds started and are hardening our crops to go into them. 😊
We planted almost all of our willow trees outside, there’s one Acutifolia that hasn’t developed roots yet, so we’re keeping her inside, until she does. 😊
The one in the center was the one that had the most roots. 😊
A couple of wild turkeys in our front yard. 😊

My handsome husband got our test corn out into the garden bed this week. 😊

I’m almost finished both our younger grandson’s scarves, just need to add their names and some strips along the edges. 😊
We figured out that we can get a full quart of shredded coconut out of two whole coconuts, at a fraction of the cost of the already processed 250-gram bags of coconut and have now decided to buy whole coconuts from now on. 😊
I’m using the coconut shells as planters. 😊
We have so many of these beautiful little Chickadees that come visiting daily, they make us smile every time we see them fluttering about. 😊
We were down to two young Tom’s and a single hen this week. 😊
Our poor neighbours’ house caught fire and while the insurance company cleans up the mess, we’re taking care of their chickens. Thankfully, our neighbour his daughter and their animals are all safe. 😊
Doing a test, with our house lettuce, to see if our neighbours’ chickens will go after our seedling plants. 😊
They were a bit nervous at first but have now adapted to being here with us. 😊

The first batch of hatchlings have graduated and moved out to the small coop. 😊
We tried our hand at making a sourdough bread loaf. 😊

This is one of the squirrels born in our garage last summer. It took a while to get it to understand we want to be friends, but now they’ve figured it out. 😊
My handsome husband planted a couple of rosebushes for me this week, they look fantastic and will hopefully love their new home. 😊
