Colleagues At the Livingston County Board of Commissioners meeting on Jan 8 2024, yours truly was elected Chair and Nick Fiani was elected vice-chair by unanimous 8 to 0 votes [ 1 absent] The Board also updated the Board Rules for 2024 and adopted a calendar. Standing Committees will meet the 1st and 2nd Mondays of the month and the full Board the 4th Monday affording members to have a minimum 6 business days to ask questions, visit sites, get maps, get data and documents before any final vote to wisely spend taxpayer dollars.
Our tax rate is the lowest of all 83 counties, we are the safest and in the top percent of healthiest counties. We intend to keep our AAA bond rating as it benefits taxpayers and our 2024 budget is balanced. We spend less than we take in, we save for a rainy day and we shun debt. Upon my election I re-affirmed my oath of office to protect and defend our two Constitutions. JR "Pick" Drick
