Hey, hey!
It's Tuesday, which means it's time for another gameplay shared from this end!
I am not sure what made me pick this day for my gaming content, but as a person who loves being organised and keeping specific days for specific posts, I decided I'd dedicate Tuesdays to gaming content, just like I've been dedicating Saturdays to my travel posts for 7+ years now!
So, just like I mentioned in my previous post, I am going to make things a bit different around here and return with gameplays from more Simulator games which is one of my most played style of games right now.
The single exception to the rule is going to be from the video game I am also posting today, which is Bookshop Simulator, because I ended up playing this game for a long while and also recorded my progress from day 0. But I am still going to drop gameplay videos from other Simulator games every once in a while, as I initially planned.
For this very first gameplay from Bookshop Simulator, I ended up playing a bit over one hour, so there is plenty of time to do some consistent upgrades to my first bookstore purchased in Lyon, France.
This is, actually, a game for which I downloaded the demo version at the same time I got the demo for Retro Rewind, but where the progress was not saved, so once I got the paid version of the game, I had to start everything from scratch.
But as a person who loves reading and pretty much anything bookish, I already knew that I was going to spend dozens of hours in this game and that I could easily create content from it at the same time.
Anyways, being my first hour spent in the game, I only got to buy some book licenses, shelves and create my character while waiting for the first clients and trying to guess the fairest price I could set for the books to earn profit and be able to do more upgrades soon.
The funny thing is that although I got the license for some books, they are not the real ones because all book titles were modified, so instead of Harry Potter books, you'll see them named Harry Fotter, for example, lol.
Along with playing a little game to guess the actual books that stay behind each title the game modified, there is also something very satisfying about constantly redecorating the bookshop or serving the clients because sitting behind the desk, scanning all the purchased products and then returning with the change, always represented a guilty pleasure for me.
I am not sure what causes it, but I always loved this activity in every simulator game that included one of these machines or ways to serve the clients, despite the thing that they are slightly different from one game to another.
One hour later, after activities of all kinds, this is how the store looks, and I think it's already easy to see how much it has evolved compared to how everything looked at the beginning of the video.
Nevertheless, there is still plenty to do, such as expanding the shop, getting a storage room, or even bringing new products, but we'll uncover everything one by one in the upcoming gameplays.
Did you play Bookshop Simulator before?
