Over the weekend, after leaving church, my husband told me he didn't want to go home so early, so he suggested we take a walk through a neighborhood called San Miguel, where people with high purchasing power live and you see huge housesâeven mansions.
Unfortunately, the entrance to the gated community is guarded, so you can only enter if a resident gives you permission. Thatâs why we had to drive around through the hotel and golf course area, since that part has a pool, restaurants, and so on, and is open to the public. In the distance, we could see some houses, and in the parking lot, cars that had just come from the dealership.
After that, we met up with some friends to go out to eat, since they didn't want to stay home either đ . We usually prefer fast food, but that day we were in the mood for something more home-cooked. There's a small restaurant that's very popular for its picadillo soup, which is a consommĂ© with meat, chicken, and grilled pork cut into small cubesâit was delicious!
To wrap up the afternoon, we headed to the Monagas Plaza mall because weâd heard theyâd opened a store that sells exclusively Christmas-themed merchandise. Even though we had a feeling the prices would be high, we love Christmas decorations. However, the store is small and didnât have much variety, but we did confirm that the cheapest item costs $20 đ .
We wandered through several stores and, like people in their thirties, ended up at the supermarket. The best part was trying Freedâs smoothiesâtheyâre made with pure frozen fruit, contain practically no water, and are totally worth it.
And thatâs how our afternoon went. We ate well, walked a lot, and spent quality time with friends. What more could you ask for? Plus, the sunset God gave us that day was beautiful, but my phoneâs camera doesnât do it justice. If youâve read this far, Iâm sending you a hug, and may God bless you â€ïž.
â âÂĄNos vemos pronto! â â âSee you soon! â â
