[TV] HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER — SEASON 2

After my season 1 review, I saw different comments under it; some said they watched the movie halfway, while some said they were just hearing about it. But their comments were interesting ones reading through what they said. However, this second season came in another dimension and was different from the first season because the bars were set high, and from what I watched, it created its own experience naturally. And it ties the new case of Hoastall instead to continuing with that murder investigation of Sam. And how Rebecca disappeared was hanged around everyone. And the uniqueness of the flash forward was brought in again, showing Annalisa being shot, but it left me wondering who shot her.

After Caleb and Catherine Hapstall's parents were murdered, the case brought them into Annalisa's world. And this distinguished part for me here was that everyone around the siblings was looking suspicious, including everyone connected to their family. And as new information was coming into the limelight, the case kept getting a new face, and that made it so much more difficult to know who was exactly lying or saying the truth.

And as for Annalisa Keating, she still remained the strongest character for me. She still performs excellent in court. But this season 2 showed more of her downsides underneath her confidence. And the relationship she had with Nath became more complicated, while the connection she shared with her students was crumbling and becoming less professional and more like a burden that she can barely carry by herself. But she continued to carry the show like I expected.

And as the show moves on episode by episode, Wes is considerably changing. Because after Rebecca disappeared, he became more obsessed and began doing something that a student that I considered quiet in the first season wouldn't have done. And other students like Asher, Connor Laural, and Michaela also had to deal with the aftermath of everything that has happened. And to be honest, I like how this show made their guilt affect them differently. Because over time, they were all becoming darker but in a different way.

Bonnie and Frank showed a bit of their sides in the first season, but here they got more of my attention because Bonnie's loyalty to Annalisa became more obvious, and I got to understand her more. While Frank's relationship to the Keating family also spiced up things. And I began to see that Annalisa's problem goes beyond her students and didn't just begin with them; it goes deeper.

And where the whole season took another dimension was when Annalisa was trying to protect Wes, but she was shot in-between. And I started suspecting different people who might likely be behind her shooting before I later got to know that the person she was trying to protect was the one who actually pulled the trigger. But the aftermath of the shooting was what she had to deal with because she had to emotionally and physically recover while the rest struggled with what they had done.

Though some of the storylines, like that, if Hapstall got complicated along the way and how the storyline kept on giving me different kinds of suspense and changing directions. Still, the whole season wasn't boring, especially after I got to see what happened between Wes and Annalisa. I also got to see how the final episode connected Wes's past to that of his mother, which gave everything a new look.

However, season 1 was dark, but this new season was darker and more emotionally uncomfortable watching the whole thing unwrap and the constant random questions that kept running through my mind while watching.
