I used to dream all the time but lately it seems as though the cinema in my brain has been undergoing renovations because I have either not dreamed at all or I don't remember them. I normally will remember my dreams at least in part, but this time my dream is something the I remember quite vividly because it inolved a great deal of tragedy that I was very happy to wake up from.
[src](https://sleephub.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/bigstock-Advance-Of-Dream-97569062.jpg)I struggle to get to sleep on a regular basis. Therefore Ambian, or Zopistad as it is known over here in Vietnam, is a regular part of my life. With this product that they claim isn't addictive (sure sure) you get 8 hours of sleep in a row easily. The issue of getting there in the first place still exists but a lot of this has to do with the fact that I have been using this at night, more often than not, for the past 6 years.
On to the dream I guess! I was at some sort of outdoor festival that had a ton of security and a bunch of strangely organized gates in all directions and Nadi was there with me. If you follow my stuff at all you will not be shocked to find out that she means the world to me, and there is very little that I wouldn't do to keep her safe.

I've had her since here 2nd birthday (pictured above) and she has been my rock ever since then. Despite this attachment, she rarely appears in my dreams but she was with me at this strange festival or gathering that I was attending with a bunch of other people around... lots of them. There was also a bunch of other dogs many of which were similar to Nadi.
Nadi in real life and in the dream, is easily spooked by things including and especially other dogs. She is pretty good at listening to me generally speaking, but if she is afraid there have been times where she has run off into the distance in real life. I would chase her and eventually she would listen if I shout "STOP!" but in my dream, that was not the case.
There was a maze of fences and trees and tons of other people and dogs but Nadi was just gone. I spent however much time exists in a dream (forever?) looking for her and never gave up. But as you might imagine this process was making me increasingly worried to the point of panic. I was shouting constantly without any fear of what anyone thought of me and running frantically around looking for her.
I woke up swinging my arms in frustration and was absolutely delighted to see that my swinging of my arms in real life had awoken and kind of frightened the real Nadi, who was asleep in her doggy bed right next to me in the real world. We were safe and sound in our small apartment in Da Nang, Vietnam.
Who are fighting, human? I gave her hugs but found the entire experience too traumatizing to go back to sleep. This was fine because Nadi doesn't mind waking up early and I kind of just get up whenever so the time was right. She gets excited because for as long as she has been alive, food time is right after wakeys.
So let's head to the expert bullshittters on the internet and get a professional assessment of what losing your dog in a dream means.
Since dogs represent unconditional love, protection, and companionship in dreams, losing one often reflects deep-seated worries about losing a cherished connection or failing to protect someone who depends on you.
These things always make me sigh when I read them - I did that just now - because these astrology sort of assessments could apply to anyone in any situation.
I mean, literally everyone would be afraid of losing a cherished connection, wouldn't they?
It can indicate feelings of guilt or regret, signaling that you feel you have let down someone who relies on your care or devotion.
Well, sure. Anyone that isn't a sociopath would feel this if it was actually in your life.
I don't really buy into any of this bullcrap but if you ever want to get the "expert opinion" on your dreamtime stuff there are some fun websites out there such as SleepHub that can be kind of fun to laugh at with how serious everything has to be.
My dream about losing Nadi probably relates to the omnipresent fear that I have about losing Nadi and nothing more. When I take her out somewhere with me she is always on a leash and if she isn't for a moment, she has someone watching her and that person is normally me. She has learned from a decade of being very closely watched and not getting to ever wander around that she is never supposed to get very far away from me or where I leave her with others. It can be kind of cute if I am just going to the bathroom and her gaze follows me all the way there and she stares at the door of the bathroom until I emerge from it. I will only be gone a normal amount of bathroom break time but she gets so excited when I come back.
I like that, I think everyone likes that.
Have you had any dreams you would like to share recently? Do you believe that dreams have meaning or are you a cynic like me and think it is just a random collection of thoughts and your brain having some fun with you while you are on sleep autopilot.
