Went on an Eurotrip - Historic Bridge in Ełk

It's been a long while since my last post, again. I try to be more consistent; I promise 😄. Recently I went on a little travel session. Actually, it was a bit of an Eurotrip with my car. Me, my girlfriend and my friend started driving from Estonia, through Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Slovakia. The majority of this two-week trip we spent in Poland and hiking in the High Tatra Mountains. I will be blogging this trip in the order of us doing things on this trip. I still have a ton of other content to share too but yeahhh.

Anyway, our first destination where I took photos was in Ełk, northern Poland. It was not really on our visit list, but we wanted to eat in a Restaurant and move our legs a bit, so we made a stop. Apparently, there was a historic bridge nearby, so we decided to check it out.

The bridge is built in 1910 and connects to the other side of the lake and to the ruins of a 14th-century Teutonic castle.

Unfortunately for us, the weather decided not to be on our side, and when we arrived on the bridge, a thunderstorm arrived above us. I quickly took a couple of shots to get out of there as fast as possible.

Here you can see some dark clouds.

We were like... all right, cool bridge, let's get out of here. We started walking back to the car, and quite a heavy hail started. Fortunately, we were on a promenade next to the lake, under many trees, so we didn't get pummeled that hard.

Stay tuned; a lot of awesome stuff will be blogged in the future.
