Un Gran Evento para un Gran Compositor Venezolano.
Un Gran Homenaje se evidencio el Jueves 27 de Agosto de 2026, se realizó en los espacios del Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Mario Abreu ubicado en Maracay, recibí un invitación y me animé a ir porque tenía años sin asistir en calidad de espectador.
Para mí este tipo de Eventos deberían hacerse en todos los rincones del país, porque son esos actos que nutren el alma y la conciencia del pueblo, es algo hermoso que la gente se una para compartir su amor por las artes y sobre todo por el legado de los grandes próceres artísticos, como es el caso de nuestro Antonio Lauro.
Hubo Pintura, Teatro, Danza y por supuesto Música de Antonio Lauro, contamos con la actuación de un Coro y de 4 grandes guitarristas.
A Great Event for a Great Venezuelan Composer.
A grand tribute took place on Thursday, August 27, 2026, held at the Mario Abreu Museum of Contemporary Art in Maracay. I received an invitation and decided to attend, as I hadn't gone to an event as a spectator in years.
In my opinion, these types of events should be held in every corner of the country. They feed the soul and the awareness of the people, and it is a beautiful thing when people come together to share their love for the arts and, above all, for the legacy of great artistic figures like our own Antonio Lauro.
There was painting, theater, dance, and of course, the music of Antonio Lauro, featuring performances by a choir and four outstanding guitarists.
Mi primera vez como fotógrafo de un evento musical.
Por lo general en mis actividades musicales suelo tocar, y es que soy músico de profesión y es el pan de cada día hacer sonar mi guitarra frente a un público, sin embargo, en esta oportunidad decidí aprovechar una invitación que me hicieron unos colegas para tomar algunas fotos de sus performances musicales.
Desde que me compré mi cámara (Canon Rebel T3i) siempre he querido especializarme en fotografiar músicos en vivo, porque ese momento que es único y efímero es tan especial para mí que una fotografía puede inmortalizar la imagen de lo que fue un momento de vida irremplazable.
Les digo que no fue tarea fácil porque me enfrenté a varias situaciones que nunca había vivido, por ejemplo, donde resguardo mis cosas, donde sentarse para tener buen angulo, tomar las fotos sin molestar al público, ahorrar batería, no usar el flash para no desconcentrar al concertista... en resumidas cuenta una actividad nada fácil.
My first time as a music event photographer
Usually, during music activities, I am the one playing. I am a musician by profession, and bringing my guitar to life in front of an audience is my daily bread. However, this time I decided to take up an invitation from some colleagues to take a few photos of their live performances.
Ever since I bought my camera (a Canon Rebel T3i), I have always wanted to specialize in photographing live musicians. That moment is so unique and fleeting, yet so special to me, that a single photograph can immortalize a truly irreplaceable moment in time.
I have to say, it was no easy task. I faced several situations I had never experienced before—like where to keep my gear safe, where to sit to get a good angle, how to take photos without disturbing the audience, how to save battery life, and avoiding the flash so as not to distract the performer. In short, it was definitely not an easy job.
El Resurgir de la escuela guitarrística de Maracay.
Maracay fue mi cuna formativa musical, estudié en la Universidad Pedagógica Experimental Libertador y en el Conservatorio de Música del Estado Aragua, ambas casas de estudio me enseñaron muchísimo, estar de nuevo en contacto con mi Maestro y algunos queridos colegas ha sido un momento de mucha alegría para mí, apoyarlos en su quehacer musical será para mí un gran experiencia en los tiempos venideros.
Y lo mejor de todo es que hay mucho talento, competencia de la sana, buscan mejorar por el bien colectivo y eso es lo que busco en este momento, unirme a un grupo de personas que luchen por mejorar las cosas en Venezuela.

The Resurgence of the Maracay Guitar School
Maracay was the cradle of my musical training. I studied at the Pedagogical Experimental Libertador University and the Music Conservatory of Aragua State; both institutions taught me immensely. Reconnecting with my master and some dear colleagues has been a moment of great joy for me. Supporting them in their musical endeavors will be a wonderful experience in the time ahead.
The best part of all is that there is a wealth of talent and healthy camaraderie. Everyone is striving to improve for the collective good, which aligns perfectly with what I am looking for right now: joining a group of people dedicated to making things better in Venezuela.
