The School year is Just Around The Corner

It may seem like summer is just heating up (not literally as the entire country has been a heat filled Hellscape since June) but it really is almost time for us teachers to go back. I did not mention students yet as they always get a couple of extra days off while us teachers are in the stupidest meetings ever assembled.

Feel free to print that out and color it!

No I am not insane. I am not looking for sympathy. I know I am incredibly lucky to have a job that recognizes that teachers need the summer to recharge. Sadly most people do not believe this, but teachers really do work insanely hard during the ten months schools are in session. And it is not getting any easier. If you look at a job description of a teacher right now it is basically to be a nurse, social worker, parent, coach, physical therapist, punching bag, cheer leader... of yeah and a teacher. I'm sure I left out a few but by September I'll be reminded of how many more hats I need to wear.

But that is the downside. Obviously there has to be a huge upside to balance that out. And I'm not talking about the money. Although I will never complain about my pay, there are plenty of other jobs where I could make far and have to give far less of myself. But that is OK. Very few, if any, teachers do the job for the money or the time off. The vast majority of teachers do it for the kids!

That is the huge upside. In a few weeks I will meet about one hundred and fifty new students. They are all going to have unique personalities, abilities and interests. Some are going to think I'm hilarious. Many others will think I'm the corniest cornball who ever lived. I'm looking forward to reactions from both those crowds. In fact I feed off of laughs and even more importantly... eye rolls. They are like Popeye's spinach for me. when I tell a joke and get a couple of chuckles and a bunch of "OMG is he for real?" eye rolls, it fills me up with the energy to keep up the act all day long.

And that is honestly what teaching is. It is a non-stop performance. Most live shows only do one performance a day with the occasional Saturday afternoon/evening double performance. It is tiring performing... but it is also exhilarating. I get to put on five shows a day Monday through Friday.

Now that I am old, (not "older" I mean "old") these performances take so much out of me that I need to take a nap as soon as I get home from work. But again I am not complaining. I love it! I love performing. More importantly I love that my performance empowers young people to learn and grow stronger. I love that it empowers them to set themselves up for future success. I love that we get to laugh. I love that I get to be the one to push them to their limit and then celebrate with them when they surpass it. I love that every single class period is a brand new experience and I am never bored. You never know what new challenge will present itself. You never know what question a student might ask. You never know when you are going to turn a kids terrible day into a great one. Those are all privileges and I know it.

I love teaching!

Schools in every country are about to open and this was necessary because some children are very annoying to their parents, due to which they are worried at home. Now they will go to school, complete their studies and they also get to learn a lot from school when they get good teachers This time, our country has been so hot that it has already reached August, but it is still hot. Holidays have also been extended here. Now, the schools that are there will open from August 22nd and we will see that the children who are there will be seen going to school. A teacher changes the life of a child. He teaches a child everything. Therefore, children should respect the teacher in all situations and serve him in all situations. The heat here is enough. Let's see what happens next this time. Maybe more holidays will be given.

Teaching really sounds like one of those jobs where the stress is high, but the reward is even higher. The part about never knowing what a student might ask or how you might change their day is what makes it special. You can tell you genuinely enjoy what you do.

Best of luck to you! Teachers come back next week, but we are already getting so many requests!

Gats love teachers who love the job.

It makes it a whole lot easier.

I love kids, and I've been a teacher for many summers (voluntarily and involuntarily as my mom owns a school)

Sadly, it really isn't something I think I'd get into as a choice 😂

But I do love and respect the profession.

Being a teacher is not a easy job , but I know it is one job that is less appreciated in many ways. A teacher job is underestimated and yes I can say they are underpaid too. I have taught in about two schools before so I know how a new session always is.

Here in my country, there are on summer break, but they have put up a system where the children and teacher have to be in school for just a few hours say three to four hours to learn ahead of their new class, it's called Summer coaching.

I pray God gives you the strength to continue being an educator to these young ones .

The role of a teacher is extremely important in guiding any society in the right direction. Indeed, teachers have a great deal of responsibility and I believe that in schools, teachers also play the role of parents.

After the summer vacation ends there is a special kind of excitement about returning to school. And you are absolutely right that teachers usually join the school before the students return while the students get a few extra days of vacation.

My father was also a teacher and he is now retired. He has said many of the same things about teaching and the responsibilities that come with it.

Without a doubt teaching is an exhausting job because teachers meet hundreds of students every day and each student has a different personality and attitude. A good teacher has to understand each student and deal with them accordingly.

I warmly welcome you back to school and I wish you a wonderful and successful new academic year 🙂

And above all, all teachers deserve our respect and appreciation.
