There is something about a winter sun, admittedly this isn't winter sun, it's early, just pre-summer sun, but I'm also in London for these shots not my usual Australian home, where these long shadows and weak heated sun is a sign of winter. In summer the birds would be dehydrated, the sun aggressive and the shadows shorter and more defined.
So of course that means I have no interest in birds in Australia, but this is London and I'm on holiday (Sort of, I'm actually working, but you get the drift) and the mundane becomes magical when you are holiday
