I'll start with some sad news. Jan Frycz needs no introduction to anyone in Poland – those older than me know many of his roles, and the young know he's Dario. And they don't need to know anything more; Dario is Dario. If you don't know him, thank God. The best performance in Polish cinema when it comes to showing how the Polish mafia operated before we joined the EU. Or at least, I don't know a better one. I haven't met any internet users who disagree. And I really did, because I've watched every analysis of his role on YouTube, and I know the scenes themselves practically by heart. Like fucking Dragon Ball.
The way Frycz played the role of this ruthless beast, the king of Polish gangsters, pure evil, who for his own fucked-up satisfaction will ruin lives for free like the famous farmer who destroys asphalt, is a fucking masterpiece! All he has to do is appear on screen – he absorbs the aura of everyone around him, literally crushing them with his experience. And as he demonstrates the breadth of his acting skills... To paraphrase the words of Karol, who helped me with the book – in the US, someone with his talent would be a megastar.
This level of mastery is exceptionally rare. Mr. Frycz is said to have brilliantly portrayed morons, gangsters, ordinary people – everyone. And he looks great in every case. In Dario's case, we don't see an actor, but a tough gangster, the kind we know from interviews or TV shows. I need to watch "The Welts," "The Big Shout," and other films he's starring in. I'm ashamed to admit I haven't seen them, but that's good – at least I won't cry that there will never be a sequel. Apparently, the second part of the book, "Blinded by the Lights," is poor, and Dario himself is also a bit of a wasted man...
And when someone says, "Dario, Dario... Who the fuck is Dario?!" The series is 10 years old, so it came out when society was beginning to atomize (or was undergoing change, depending on the country) and people were becoming more self-absorbed. It's a real success that so many different people know Dario. You can find the series on HBO - Blinded by the Lights. The beginning is a bit weak, but due to its realistic approach (the main character is perfectly portrayed, but people unfamiliar with this environment/profession don't understand the reality), it's not very popular. But when Dario shows up, the series gets a +5.

Regarding the second entry, there's a comic book and its animated adaptation. It's called Cybersix – the comic was drawn in Argentina, and the animated version was created by Japanese, American, and Canadian artists. The anime itself has mostly sentimental value for me – it was one of the first Western things I saw on Polish television, and I thought it was awesome. It was on Canal+, which I didn't have at the time. Over 20 years later, I saw the anime, and it was cool, but I was too old for it. One thing hasn't changed – the opening.
For as long as I can remember, music has played a very important role in my life. Thanks to it, I can see images in my head, which is why… No, it's not marijuana delusions – I've had this since childhood, when I still had a complete aversion to anything smoking, even tobacco. Returning to Cybersix, I've had a particular weakness for female voices since childhood. I've heard that, objectively speaking, men are supposedly better singers (whether it's opera or a rock band), but I don't care. No male musician has ever made my hair stand on end like the best female vocalists – the lead singer of Arch Enemy, the lady behind Teknoman's Japanese openings, other female vocalists, etc.
It's the same with Cybersix. Even though I've known this song for 30 years, it still evokes strong emotions in me. From what I've learned over the past 30 years, the record company has access to the full version of the song, but they won't release it. No, and that's a bummer. That's why, 15 years ago, when I searched half the internet, I was a little devastated that I'd never know the full version... Until now. This morning, on my way to work, I felt like listening to that voice again... And here YouTube shows the FULL VERSION. Something about it didn't sit right with me, and after reading the comment, I realized what it was – AI. But honestly? I don't care. Artificial Intelligence gave me a taste of what I've been searching for my whole life, and it fits the plot of the animation. It's a bit jarring that the voice is artificial, but as soon as the AI singer reaches higher notes, my brain takes an intravenous dose of copium and says, "I don't know what you're talking about, this is the full version of the Cybersix song. Relax, lol."

Zacznę od smutnej wiadomości. Nikomu w Polsce nie muszę przedstawiać Jana Frycza - starsi niż ja znają wiele jego roli, a młodzi wiedzą że to Dario. I nic więcej wiedzieć nie muszą, Dario to Dario. Jak go nie znasz, to dziękuj Panu Bogu. Najlepsza kreacja w polskiej kinematografii, jeśli chodzi o pokazanie, jak działały Polskie mafie zanim weszliśmy do UE. No a przynajmniej lepszej nie znam. Nie poznałem też internautów, którzy mają inne zdanie. A naprawdę szukałem, bo obejrzałem każdą analizę jego roli na YT, a same sceny znam niemal na blachę. Jak pieprzonego Dragon Balla.
To jak Frycz wcielił się w to bezwzględne bydle, króla Polskich gangsterów, czyste zło, które dla własnej pojebanej satysfakcji, za darmo rozjedzie życie jak słynny rolnik od dewastowania asfaltu, to pierdolone arcy-mistrzostwo. Wystarczy tylko, że pojawi się na ekranie - chłonie aurę wszystkich dookoła, dosłownie miażdżąc ich doświadczeniem. A jak pokazuje zakres swoich umiejętności aktorskich... Parafrazując słowa Karola, który pomagał mi przy książce - w USA ktoś z jego talentem miałby status mega gwiazdy.
Taki poziom mistrzostwa to wyjątkowa rzadkość. Pan Frycz podobno genialnie grał debili, gangusów, zwykłych ludzi, każdego. I w każdym przypadku prezentuje się świetnie. W przypadku Dario nie widzimy aktora, tylko twardego gangstera, takiego znanego z wywiadów lub programów telewizyjnych. Muszę obejrzeć "Pręgi", "Wielki Szu" i inne filmy z jego udziałem. Wstyd się przyznać, ale nie widziałem ich, ale to dobrze - przynajmniej nie będę płakał, że już nigdy nie powstanie kontynuacja. Podobno 2 część książki "Ślepnąć od Świateł" jest marna, sam Dario też jest jakiś zmarniały...
A jak ktoś mówi, że "Dario Dario... Kto to kurwa ten Dario?!" Serial ma 10 lat, więc wyszedł gdy społeczeństwo zaczynało (lub było w trakcie zmian, zależy od kraju) się atomizować, a ludzie bardziej skupiać na sobie. To serio sukces, że tylu różnych ludzi zna Dario. Serial znajdziecie na HBO - Ślepnąc od Świateł. Początek lekko ssie, ale to z uwagi na realistyczne podejście (główny bohater został doskonale oddany, tylko że ludzie nie ogarniający tego środowiska / zawodu nie kumają, że tak to wygląda), jest mało lubiany. Ale jak Dario wjeżdża, to serial dostaje +5 do oceny.

Jeśli chodzi o drugi wpis, jest taki komiks i jego animowana adaptacja. Zwie się Cybersix - komiks narysowano w Argentynie, a za wersję animowaną odpowiadają Japończycy, Amerykanie i Kanadyjczycy. Samo anime ma dla mnie głównie wartość sentymentalną - to jedna z pierwszych zachodnich rzeczy, którą zobaczyłem w Polskiej telewizji i wydało mi się zajebiste. Leciało na Canal+, którego wtedy nie miałem. Po ponad 20 latach zobaczyłem anime, było spoko, ale byłem na nie za stary. Jedno się nie zmieniło - opening.
Odkąd tylko pamiętam, muzyka pełni bardzo ważną rolę w moim życiu. Dzięki niej potrafię widzieć obrazy w swojej głowie, dzięki czemu Nie, to nie urojenia po marihuanie - mam tak od dziecka, jak jeszcze miałem kompletną niechęć do wszystkiego związanego z paleniem choćby tytoniu. Wracając do Cybersix, od dziecka mam szczególną słabość do kobiecego głosu. Słyszałem, że podobno w obiektywnych czynnikach, mężczyźni są lepszymi wokalistami (nie ważne czy opera, czy zespół rockowy), ale mam to w dupie. Żaden męski muzyk nie zjeżył mi tak włosów na ciele, jak najlepsze wokalistki - wokalistka Arch Enemy, pani od Japońskich openingów Teknomana, inne wokalistki itd.
Tak samo jest w przypadku Cybersix. Mimo że znam ten kawałek 30 lat, to ciągle wywołuje we mnie mocne emocje. Z tego co się dowiedziałem przez 30 lat, wytwórnia ma dostęp do pełnej wersji piosenki, ale nie chcą jej udostępnić. Nie i chuj. Dlatego przez 15 lat temu, gdy przeszukałem pół internetu, lekko się załamałem, że nigdy nie poznam pełnej wersji... Do czasu. Dzisiaj rano, jadąc do pracy, nabrałem ochoty na posluchanie tego glosu jeszcze raz... A tutaj YouTube pokazuje PEŁNĄ WERSJĘ. Coś mi w niej nie pasowało, po przeczytaniu komentarza zrozumiałem co - AI. Ale szczerze? Mam to gdzieś. Sztuczna Inteligencja dała mi namiastkę tego, co szukałem całe życie i pasuje do fabuły animacji. Trochę boli mnie, że sztuczny głos, ale jak tylko AI-wokalistka wchodzi na wyższe tony, to mój mózg zażywa dożylnie copium i mówi: "Nie wiem, o czym mówisz, to jest pełna wersja piosenki z Cybersix. Wyluzuj, lol."
