Some days are made memorable by grand events, while others become special simply because of the little moments woven throughout them. Today felt like one of those beautiful, ordinary days—a day filled with light, nature, food, and the warmth of home.
The evening began with a peaceful visit to a beautifully illuminated temple. The large dome, covered in countless tiny lights, glowed against the dark night sky. The soft golden lights created a calm and almost magical atmosphere. Looking at the details of the architecture and the surrounding trees reminded me how beautiful traditional places can look when they come alive after sunset.
During the day, nature provided its own kind of beauty. Large green leaves, tropical plants, and fruit trees filled the surroundings with colour. The garden looked wonderfully alive, with fresh foliage everywhere. Even a small glimpse of a bird or animal among the plants added to the feeling that this was a place where nature and everyday life existed side by side.
Of course, no day would be complete without food! Today brought an assortment of ingredients and homemade dishes. Fresh vegetables, coconut, spices, and other local ingredients came together in the kitchen. There is something especially satisfying about preparing food from simple, fresh ingredients. The photographs capture some of the preparation as well as the delicious dishes that followed.
One of the highlights was a plate of beautifully golden-brown fried balls. Crispy on the outside and invitingly delicious, they looked like the perfect homemade treat to enjoy with family. Seeing them arranged on a plate, surrounded by fresh green leaves, made the meal feel even more special.
What I love most about days like this is that they don't need anything extraordinary. A peaceful evening, greenery in the garden, traditional cooking, and food prepared with care can create wonderful memories.
As the day comes to an end, the glowing lights of the stupa seem like a fitting image to remember it by—a reminder to appreciate beauty, family, nature, and the simple joys that make an ordinary day meaningful.
Thanks for reading.
Have A nice day.
