As another year of Hive comes to a close, we want to take some time and reflect on the achievements and milestones of our ecosystem of dapps and our individual community members. We'll spare you the technical jargon of another year of Hive blockchain development (not to worry, we won't forget to share this separately) as we celebrate!

2024 Ecosystem Achievements

Actifit
2024 has been a milestone year for Actifit! Actifit team has been in full swing throughout 2024, driving significant growth and collaborations. Key collabs included: an integration between Ecency Waves and PeakD Snaps, an integration of special Splinterlands card rewards, the launch of 3Speak video integration on iOS, and incorporating Keychain swaps into the web wallet. Actifit also continued with the curation collab between them and OCD for enhanced content visibility and rewards. They have also released several app versions with a revamped UX/UI, new account functions, a referral program, expanded language and translation features, and upgraded their infrastructure servers for image uploads and the Hive API. Their community engagement saw multiple giveaway campaigns, strengthening connections with users.
Aioha
Started in April 2024, Aioha has implemented a common interface for interacting with different Hive login providers in web applications. This offers a better developer experience (DX) due to fewer code needed to work with Hive authentication and transacting on the network. The main Aioha core library provides the flexibility of implementing Hive authentication in most Javascript environments with login persistence, and the React library enables developers to quickly bootstrap a Hive application with the ready-made login modal that includes all the necessary UI logic to facilitate user authentication. The project was presented at HiveFest this year and will be used by VSC and more apps to come.
Crypto Shots
This year was fantastic for Crypto Shots development. They introduced daily tournaments with 3 exciting minigames (karts, poker and chess with HIVE automated rewards). Their shooter game received several big updates, including new maps like Mars and Warehouse, more weapons and skins, and improved performance. They also added cool features such as shields, medkits, and jump pads to enhance the gameplay. Their community grew strong as they partnered with new sponsors, were nominated for the Blockchain Gaming Awards 2024, and held awesome daily tournaments and giveaways. They worked on many more NFTs that will launch in 2025 and we upgraded their reward system for the PvP (although still in alpha stage). Crypto Shots was proud to represent Hive at the NFTopia and Web3 Dubai conferences. Additionally, they added Bitcoin and Metamask support, new game modes, and made both PvP and PvE experiences better for all players. Thank you to our amazing players and community for making 2024 a great year! They're excited to bring you even more fun and updates in 2025!
Ecency
Ecency team had really productive year, they released mobile opensource Waves app dedicated for short-form content creators, re-wrote their website on entire new and exciting platform nextjs, all opensource. Their main mobile application got a lot of improvements and exciting changes, all thanks to communities involvement making products better. We encourage all teams on Hive and outside wider blockchain communities to check and copy, use their opensource apps to understand how Hive works and also to create new apps from those opensource codes. Ecency continue to be easiest and most used onboarding vehicle for Hive with easy to use and dedicated mobile app for Android and iOS users.
Immortal Creed
Immortal Creed is a Hive game that gained popularity in 2024 with its Hive Engine and cross-chain (Polygon) tokenomics. The game had a busy year, with a total of 314,047 game transactions recorded on the Hive, Hive Engine, and Polygon blockchains with 58,260 Origins card packs opened and 9,946,082 VALOR awarded for ranked match wins.
Immortal Creed recently celebrated the anniversary of the launch of the game with a special event, and just passed one million battles played since going live. In its first year, 2,588 game accounts were created, with 567 accounts making a purchase—establishing Immortal Creed's debut as a tremendous success. The overwhelming majority of blockchain wallets connected and activity for the game have been on Hive, proving the Hive blockchain is a premier platform for gaming!
INLEO
INLEO saw an extremely busy year full of amazing milestones - namely, hitting the biggest target they committed to: onboarding over 10,000 users to the Hive Blockchain. They also launched their biggest partnership which is set to be the first of many “Join INLEO, Earn XYZ crypto” initiatives. the Hive blockchain has ever seen by partnering with the Dash team to release a Keystore Signup option for Hive blockchain accounts. INLEO has innovated an entirely new way to signup and login to Hive by using Keystores to create Hive Accounts. They have also partnered with the Maya Protocol and most recently launched LEO Merchants, which allows any Hive merchant to accept ANY crypto (that is listed on LeoDex/Maya Protocol - Native BTC, ETH, DASH, CACAO, RUNE, etc.) as payment for their products and services. All of this is on top of the monumental onboarding initiative they have spearheaded over the course of the year, helping over 10,000 people become monthly active users on the Hive blockchain. They’re now getting ready to unveil their plans to onboard many more in 2025.
Liketu
2024 has been a year of refinement and consolidation for Liketu. The userbase has been healthy despite difficult market conditions. A big focus of their year was to understand and optimize the experience of users on Liketu to best enhance the underlying Hive attention economy. They rolled out some of the most advanced statistics for their users and gradually moved curation initiatives to support the kinds of behaviours which will yield the best chances of long term growth.
Combining advanced statistics with their best in class referral/affiliate program, Liketu has consistently onboarded users to Hive with the best cost efficiency, period. Their best month yielded around 10,000 new accounts created. Liketu's focus in the year to come will be to add more short form media features and officially launch their onboarding campaign. "2025 will be the year we thrive" says Elmer, Liketu's founder.
RisingStar
RisingStar achieved its main goal of making it through an entire bear market whilst growing our treasury ready for alt season. The team released a whole new feature - "PRO" allowing people to record and release singles into the Pro Chart to earn a share of the reward pool. They also added a new in game only token "STARDUST" which can be earned through new daily achievements and used to kit out your avatar to show the world in the leaderboard and raves.
Splinterlands
Splinterlands has had more updates in 2024 than in any previous year since its launch in 2018. Those included a completely revamped in-game reward system, a new, free-to-play onboarding experience, multiple exclusive promo cards, and completing the open-source validator node software which will allow completely decentralized operation of the Splintershards (SPS) token and governance system on top of the Hive blockchain.
The work throughout 2024 has positioned Splinterlands extremely well going into 2025 where its sixth major card edition is planned to be introduced - among many other game-changing features - along with a significant marketing and promotional campaign funded by the Hive blockchain ecosystem via the Decentralized Hive Fund (DHF). Splinterlands ends the year with an engaging social media challenge.
Waivio
In 2024, Waivio introduced an impressive lineup of features designed to transform any Hive profile into a fully functional web3 social hub. The new recipes section helps members share and organize cooking ideas, while integrated maps highlight local hotspots for followers. Businesses from Google Maps can be added to Hive posts with just a few clicks. An AI chat feature offers real-time support, and a 10x reduction in upvote requirements encourages broader participation. Waivio also introduced performance optimizations, convenient HiveAuth sign-ins, and an updated Chrome extension for seamless navigation. Finally, improved SEO features help newly launched social sites gain wider visibility. These innovations redefine the Hive experience, enabling anyone to launch an advanced social site in just a few clicks.
Wrestling Organization Online
WOO's engagement with the Wrestling Shoot Interviews (WSI) YouTube channel led to exclusive interviews with partnered wrestlers, amassed over 1 million views and introduced countless fans to WOO. In addition, they launched the official WOO YouTube channel this year! In doing so, they are building a hub for wrestling fans and Web3 enthusiasts alike. They also unveiled the much-awaited Hive and WOO Championship belts, celebrating the best in competition and community. Overall, it's been a busy year for WOO.
Worldmappin
Worldmappin, launched in 2024 as a successor to Pinmapple, is a dynamic platform on the Hive blockchain that enables bloggers to geotag their posts, creating personalized world maps of their travels and experiences. Since its inception, Worldmappin has experienced significant growth, of around 3000 members and amassing over 200,000 Hive Power (HP) through community delegations. As one community member aptly stated, “It is good that I can just turn up plonk in a pin and post some snaps and also find a focal point to see the travels and adventures of others who suffer from wanderlust.”
Worldmappin introduced the #WinterChallenge in 2024, encouraging users to share their winter adventures and geotag them on the platform. Another significant milestone in 2024 was the seamless integration with PeakD, one of Hive’s most popular frontends. These initiatives underline Worldmappin’s commitment to innovation and its focus on enriching the user experience for Hive’s travel community.
