More photographs I took on the island of Cubagua, in a place that is rarely visited//Más fotografías qué tomé en la Isla de Cubagua por un lugar qué es poco visitado

Hello, fellow Hivers! I’m happy to share a new post with you all here in the #gems community. Whenever we have some free time—after work, while there’s still a bit of daylight—my cousin and I like to head out for a trip. We don’t go too far, but we explore a part of Cubagua Island that doesn’t get many visitors; it faces the open sea, which results in much stronger waves and more significant erosion of the rocks. Because there isn’t much space—and for the sake of our own safety—we don’t get too close.

Another striking detail is the amount of seaweed that accumulates at that end of the island. For some reason, the fishermen I mentioned in my previous post don’t seem very keen on clearing it away—perhaps for the reason already noted, or because the stronger surf makes it difficult for them to work with the same ease they enjoy on the other side of the island.

I have more photographs, but I’ll share them with you little by little. There are other places on the far side of the island with even more interesting things to see, but that requires time—you’d need to set off very early to avoid getting sunburned. The catch, however, is that we would have to stay over for a weekend to explore all those spots; some local fishermen told us that it would take about six hours to cover the whole area.

The scenery is truly beautiful: the sea, the sky, the seaweed. You're so lucky to be there. !LADY !PAKX
