when you'll know how to do that stuff yourself it'll be all sunshine and rainbows, while growing up I've interest in everything that was happening around me and especially when a guy like plumber or electrician and something like that would come at home
To fix our parents used to tell me to watch over that guy, either it was to see how he's doing that stuff or just keep an eye on the guy like for the theft or if he's doing an honest work.
Never leave your electrician and Plumber alone for work
I'll keep the same practice when I'll grow up and have kids, I'll tell them to monitor what's that plumber or electrician guy is doing though it won't be needed cause I can do pretty much that stuff myself.
And it's only possible because I used to see what they were doing, how they were fixing a leak tap, changing electric boards and those wires.
I've pretty much copied how they were moving with those things and now when it's my turn I'll raise my kids making sure they learn that too.
So they don't have to hire a professional to change the lightbulb, it is legit insane that some of these kids have no idea how to change a lightbulb.
Like it's below basic thing and doesn't come into anything but still they'd call someone for help to get the job done.
Or changing the ceiling fan, it is too simple and easy, you don't need to get anyone for that. Or for making those switch boards work when they've sparked and aren't working anymore.
It's just wires bro, just connect and somehow it'll work, not an advice to try at home btw. I get it why some are scared to go near electric stuff and it's rather more safe to hire someone professional but you should have a little knowledge about that or you just don't have no survival instincts at all.
I get the job done at workplace sometimes
I remember when I was at work and outta nowhere lights went off, generator wasn't working at all so they were all panicked calling the maintenance team to come over.
And before this incident whenever something went wrong I used to go and see maintenance team work, they were always happy to tell you few little secrets shortcut things they used to have.
So I did applied that and brought the lights back, maintainance team always takes time to arrive so as usual they came in late and when they did they were pretty surprised about it too. There's more lore to this, but for now that's all and hope you can also do stuff yourself without asking professional, it really saves ton in this economy.
that's all folks.
