The LilGuy and I ended up staying instead of joining the hubby and my brother for a trip half an hour's drive from the city center (3.5 hours from here) for the final monumentation (line marking) of a property we bargained bought a few years back (end of 2022). A boundary issue with the adjoining owner arose, and the original owner had to settle it legally first, so we stepped aside.
It took a while, but the said dispute was resolved recently through a court ruling, and the re-survey took place a week ago, during which they installed temporary markers. Today, they are installing concrete pillars (mojon) to permanently establish the land coordinates and secure the corresponding areas we purchased.
I would have joined them to check what changed, but not today, when my hormones are all messing with me. So I chose to get jailed here in DD instead. Spoiling the fun is the last thing I ever wanted, especially on a Monday.😁
Anyway, I'll probably have another slow one—spend the day learning, listening to podcasts or audiobooks, or watching vids on taming an aggressive fur baby and practice (apply) a few to my lil boy. Oops, that look seems to know I was talking about him.😁
Yeah, that's the plan.
And maybe I'd pot up some Mustard seeds in the afternoon, since the bok choy have already pushed their way out of the soil on the seeding trays. Unfortunately, none of the green ice (lettuce) made it, so I'm thinking of giving it another try and sowing the remaining ones. After all, the goal is to have an everyday supply of healthy greens for our own table.
Starting the experiment in August was a good move. We are still learning, but I'm honestly loving this passive way of growing leafy veggies in nutrient solution. It's a lot easier, cleaner, less tiring, space-saving, more efficient, uses less water (no need to water them constantly), has almost no pest problems, is mess-free (no digging, no weeding), is healthier (no pesticides/chemicals), and has a faster growth cycle (the harvesting period is shorter).
I got a little excited the other day and ordered two more sets of the grow boxes. I imagine the water spinach (Kangkong) would love them. They are almost ready to be transferred. That quick, huh?
Yep. It's been two weeks since seeding, and they're developing nicely. So they'll get to sip nutrients from the boxes in a few more days, or early next week (maybe).
Until then, we'll just let Monday be Monday.😊
