Nature Sustains [& Destroys Too]

Magandang buhay💚

We left DD at 4 pm. The hubby's charms worked that he convinced us to join him on another drive to the capital. It had been raining throughout the journey, and we passed by several landslides along the highway—uprooted trees, fallen rocks, boulders, and such.

Even though these are a common sight during the wet months, they still made me gasp, and felt sad to learn that some people perished. Nature is indeed a dual force. It sustains life (provides essential systems that support human existence), and it also has the inherent power to destroy through natural disasters.

We arrived safely at half-past 7, taking a little longer than the usual travel time, but we were being careful, especially since visibility in some sections of the highway was poor due to fog. Better be safe than sorry, they say.

Well, Yongi and I checked in at our favorite guesthouse (and we were given our usual room). The husband drove the truck to the trading center and to get us food (dinner).

After settling in, the LilGuy is now feeling at home, resting quietly. He spent the first 10 or so minutes making sure there isn't any danger in here. He must have been tired from the trip and exhausted his remaining energy sniffing every corner of our room, except the toilet and bath because the door was closed😅

But yeah, he is quite reliable when it comes to investigating. He would sound the alarm when he senses something out of the ordinary. Surprisingly, he didn't bark at the Auntie who brought in the towels. Her scent must be very likable.☺️

Anyhow, I am hoping the weather will be better tomorrow so we can have more fun between errands, friendships, and such.

That's true. Nature has two faces. It's something beyond our control. Landslides seem to be frequent there, and I think in that case, try to stay alert all the time, especially during the time of journey. !PIZZA !PAKX

Sorry for the stress. The roughness of the journey must have tired you and others out. Take time to rest.
