Powering down and leaving Hive because of a top witness using his full power against me

TL;DR: Acidyo is a top 2 witness with 600k HP and a level 84 account. He has the powerful to ruin an account. He has downvoted me twice for "painting him in a bad light". If someone that powerful wants to fight me I will just quit and let them win. I don't have to deal with this.

Hive goes up less than other goes and goes down more than other coins. All it has is community but community is ruined for me.

It started yesterday when I made a post about Hive possily being at the bottom, the post was well timed, the bottom seems to have been when and where I said.

In the post I did poke Acidyo, he is a top 2 witness getting funded by the DHF. Poking important figures like that is natural in democracies but of course Hive is not a democracy, it is an oligarchy.

As it is natural for an oligarchy there are few very powerful people, one of them is Acidyo. For reasons you can see on the thread he has downvoted me with 100% of his power. He is a top 2 witness with 600k HP and level 84 downvoting someone who is a no one.

A 100% downvote from someone that big can wipe post rewards and tank and account reputation, he knows it very well and uses it intentionally.

Today he did the same, in his post about his DHF funded AI subscriptions I asked if he would take a 20% fee regardless of the performance of his proposal. He downvoted me with 100% again.

This post is likely to get 100% downvoted too but doesn't matter. I am out.

Acidyo is a top 2 witness, this means he has influence, no one gets there, he is behind only blocktrades who does essential work on protocol level.

Acidyo is a level 84 account, this means his account has the power to raise or lower someone's account level. Reputation is something you build slow.

600k HP means he can wipe post rewards.

I don't have to deal with this. I am grateful for Hive, thanks to the experience I hve got here I managed to get a job at Uber and then Pinterest and migrate to Europe.

However grateful I am the experience has been ruined. When someone that powerful picks up a fight with you there are two options, you fight back or you run.

Some people choose to fight back, there are 14 accounts that downvote everything acidyo posts, but those accounts naturally have no reputation and no HP, they effectively do nothing and may even paind Acidyo as a victim.

I chose to run. I am not fighting, I don't have friends who can outweight his downvotes and I don't want to be in a blockchain that is so centralized and at the same time has someone so powerful exercising his full power through 100% downvotes.

Had I seen he does that to other people I would have left before he did that me.

Witnesses only have power on Hive blog. There are other platforms and ecosystem that don't really on Hive witnesses. For example blocktunes or splinter lands. There are also fork of hive like blurt which don't have downvoting. Or you can always just get another account which won't have the reputation and baggage. If you hold a lot of money, please swap it outside of hive so you are untraceable. Have it swapped on Binance through Bitcoin and stuff. And use a generic profile and name.

There are people here on Hive that I strongly dislike, but I mute them and try to stay far away from the things they do here. I hope you can find a way to stay here comfortably. Look for the helpers! There are many.

No need to powerdown and leave Hive. There are differences of opinion and disagreements among Hivers, but so what. Diversity is good for Hive. Not everyone needs to get along. We can all enjoy Hive in our own way.

I’m sorry to see you go. I only recently started reading your posts about Hive. It’s a shame that it’s so easy to remove someone from Hive who has been here for 10 years.

Terrible timing to sell your hive during an highly possible accumulation zone in the market happening right now. We won't know for sure until after but it's definitely a good time to accumulate more either way.

Keeping it staked would help us keep this more decentralized but since your leaving anyways for a couple of DV's I guess it means your cutting your losses or it's because you have better options elsewhere? Or maybe you just don't believe in the project as much as you say you have? I don't really know. Can't really say which way it may go. But I don't think the DV is the real reason but rather just a convinient excuse to leave.

You knew Hive was an oligarchy before you ended up on the receiving end of one of its whales' voting power. You participated in that system anyway. It's a little convenient to suddenly decide the structure is intolerable when the other side of that power imbalance is the one hitting you.

witness rank doesn't affect "influence", not sure what you mean about that

you've been poking at me for weeks on end, calling me a grifter for creating a proposal to fund AI subscriptions for some very active people on hive who have been creating useful and powerful tools/services/apps/games that many enjoy and have shown interest in using.

If you can't take two downvotes, one on a comment with literally no effect other than reputation (which is nothing since you've been posting forever and have a high one), then why should I take someone constantly stating things about myself that are untrue, slander and generally attempting to diminish my reputation here?

Just cause you put 5% of the HBD you got from starkerz back into hive at the bottom means you're free to say and do as you like? Should I go around telling everyone in my posts and comments how you defend starkerz points no matter what cause he gave you 20k hbd to work on his projects from the DHF? Is that something people do or just you?

I tried to be neutral with you on comments you've made about other stuff in discord and on hive, just because I don't agree that we're overspending or that Hive has no hope or that there's a "back door" where wealthy stakeholders are funneling hive towards themselves or what other nonsense you've been spewing doesn't mean I have any ill intention towards you. Yet you decided to take it on step further and keep poking at my name and activities constantly, that's on you.

If you can't use downvotes to eventually demand someone to stop talking shit about things they don't know about, then I'm okay with the consequences that come from that and I'll correct my behaviour in the future. Even in that post you stated and I quote:

I have spent my own money on Claude, for 2 months, then I received 2 months from deathwings proposal and decided it's valuable but could be run better. Only to be called a grifter and a "hive destroyer" by the likes of you and some other whales who've taken north of a million HBD from the DHF in total for their things.

It's hypocritical and utterly cringe the shit you've been attempting to do here and I stand by my downvotes. Especially the second one where it only took 5 minutes for you to appear for the first time on my posts and try some shit while saying I haven't proven any usecases for my use of Claude which is literally all of my other shitposts. Imagine being that kind of a person that does that, lmao.
