Sometimes life places us in situations that we struggle to understand or even accept. Yet, as the saying goes, we can learn from everything—the good and the bad—and things happen for a reason.
This month has been very difficult. As I’ve mentioned before, I had to give up my gym membership; I didn’t feel right going without paying the monthly fee—perhaps I’m the only one who feels that way, but what can you do? In the meantime, I’ve been joining my mom for walks every morning. I’ve often been told that this isn’t ideal for me, given how thin I am—it causes me to lose even more muscle mass—but it is what it is. Honestly, it does me good; it’s a form of exercise, and the walking helps clear my mind of the internal chaos I’m experiencing.
Last night, I realized something: my mind has begun conjuring up the worst-case scenarios for my life. I struggle to sleep, and I feel as though I can’t breathe—there’s a pressure in my body that’s hard to put into words. It’s not easy. I need to find a way to focus on other things and stop overthinking everything that’s happening to me.
It’s difficult to grapple with your own thoughts—to feel alone and stuck, watching life move forward while you remain in the same place, unable to make progress or achieve anything. Dealing with this internal chaos is exhausting, and there’s no way to trick time; it never stops. We are already just two months away from the end of the year, and my plans and dreams have remained nothing more than thoughts in my head.
I never expected what would happen: losing my work tools, and with that, losing the chance to invest in a printer—something I wanted more than anything. As the saying goes, what we plan is one thing, but what God has in store for us is another. I find myself wondering: when will the day come when God—or life itself—brings me something better? Anyway, I know you’re tired of reading my constant complaints about my life—believe me, I’m just as tired of complaining. That’s why I don’t reach out to anyone; instead, I leave my thoughts and feelings here. That way, if I’m still around in a few years, I can look back and laugh at all of this—and be able to say, "Thank you, God, because the storm has passed, and everything turned out for the best."
