Saludos querida comunidad, estos días he estado sin conexión a Internet ni señal telefónica, todo pasó después de una fuerte ventisca y aun no han solucionado el problema, por eso han sido pocas las cosas que he podido hacer sin conexión, sin embargo, cuando se trata de la manualidades tal como su nombre indica en la mayoría de casos lo necesario es usar nuestras manos.

Por eso cuando mi hermana llegó con un montón de cosas para que le ayudaremos a donar, entre bolsos, ropa y juguetes, me di cuenta que venía una muñeca que en general estaba en buen estado pero cuyo cabello estaba muy maltratado, pensé que sería una pena donarla así, por eso quise arreglarle el cabello para mejorar su aspecto y que la niña que la recibiera se sintiera feliz, aprovechando además de mostrarles el paso a paso por si desean restaurar el cabello de cualquier muñeca ☺️

Greetings, dear community! These past few days I’ve been without internet or phone service. It all happened after a strong blizzard, and the problem still hasn’t been fixed. Because of this, I haven’t been able to do much offline. However, when it comes to crafts, as the name suggests, in most cases, we need to use our hands.

So when my sister arrived with a bunch of things for us to help her donate—bags, clothes, and toys—I noticed a doll that was generally in good condition, but whose hair was very damaged. I thought it would be a shame to donate it like that, so I wanted to fix its hair to improve its appearance and make the girl who received it happy. I also took the opportunity to show you the step-by-step process in case you want to restore the hair of any doll. ☺️

Materiales / Materials

• Champú
• Acondicionador
• Peine
• Tijeras para cabello
• Agua a temperatura ambiente y agua hirviendo
• Jabón y cepillo para lavar
• Plancha para cabello (opcional)

• Shampoo
• Conditioner
• Comb
• Hair scissors
• Room temperature and boiling water
• Soap and brush
• Hair straightener (optional)

Proceso / Process

El primer paso es lavar el cuerpo de la muñeca y aparte lavé la repita que traía y la pide a secar, ahora para el cabello con agua a temperatura ambiente lavamos con champú, enjuagado y aplicamos acondicionador, sin enjuagar procedemos a desenredar el cabello poco a poco, por secciones y desde puntas a raíz para evitar en lo posibles fracturar el cabello, en este caso como habían mantenido una coleta en el cabello este estaba adelgazado y tarde bastante tiempo en desenredar pero valió la pena.

The first step is to wash the doll’s body, and separately wash the petticoat it came with and leave it to dry. Now for the hair, with room temperature water, wash with shampoo, rinse, and apply conditioner. Without rinsing, proceed to detangle the hair little by little, in sections and from the ends to the roots to avoid breaking the hair as much as possible. In this case, since it had been kept in a ponytail, the hair was thin and it took quite a while to detangle, but it was worth it.

Una vez desenredando el cabello podemos visualizar hasta que punto las puntas de cabello están dañadas y asi podemos realizar un corte de cabello, metiendo lo mas largo posible, en este caso conté bastante porque como mencioné el cabello lo habían dañado mucho con la coleta, sin embargo, aun con eso se pudo recuperar mucho al desenredar. Luego de que el cabello este desenredando y cortado, le vamos a echar el agua hirviendo, con mucho cuidado para no quedarnos las manos, el agua se echa en la misma dirección en que peinamos el cabello y dejamos secar.

Once the hair is detangled, we can see the extent of the damage to the ends and trim it, taking in as much length as possible. In this case, I cut quite a bit because, as I mentioned, the hair had been badly damaged by the ponytail. However, even so, it recovered significantly after detangling. After the hair is detangled and trimmed, we carefully pour boiling water over it, being careful not to burn our hands. The water is poured in the same direction as we combed the hair, and then we let it dry.

Una vez el cabello este seco podemos peinar nuevamente y rectificar el corte de puntas si es necesario, ya el cabello estará listo sin embargo, si desean que quede un poquito mejor recomiendo usar ina plancha de cabello a poca temperatura y planchar el cabello como normalmente lo haría con una persona, yo aproveche también de planchar la falda de la muñeca para que se viera bien una vez estuviera seca.

Once the hair is dry, we can comb it again and trim the ends if necessary. The hair will be ready; however, if you want it to look a little better, I recommend using a hair straightener at a low temperature and straightening the hair as you normally would on a person. I also took the opportunity to straighten the doll’s skirt so that it would look good once it was dry.

Resultado / Result

Lamentablemente la muñeca tenia unas manchas de marcador rosa en la cara que no pude quitar con el lavado, sin embargo, se redujo bastante el color y la muñeca se ve bastante bien considerando como llegó, ya no me da pena regalarla y espero que la cuiden mucho ☺️

Unfortunately, the doll had some pink marker stains on her face that I couldn’t remove by washing. However, the color faded considerably, and the doll looks quite good considering how she arrived. I’m no longer embarrassed to give her away, and I hope she’s well cared for ☺️
