¡Hola!

Hello! Greetings to everyone, @holos-lotus community! I hope you are having an incredible week. Today I want to write to you about a memory I have from when I played baseball, practically at 8 years old. Yes, this happened a while ago.
I also want to share with you how I switched sports, because later I liked playing soccer. I will connect all of this with personal growth and how doing sports helps our health.

Well, I hope you enjoy my post. Without further ado, here we go!
Hello, stepping onto the baseball field brings back memories from my past, from quite some time ago. Yes, around the year 2001, when I was about 7 or 8 years old. What I remember is that I played this sport because my dad also practiced it. He was very good at playing and, well, I also made a great effort to learn.
I remember that the ball was placed on a batting tee and it was my turn to hit the baseball. Yes, I have this very present in my memories. I also remember that I couldn't have the experience of playing this sport with a pitcher pitching to me, because later I moved to another city and couldn't keep playing baseball.

But I do remember practicing with my dad and the ball. I also had friends who liked to play, although I don't remember very well who they were or the details, because this happened a long time ago.
What I do remember is that I liked to practice and hit the baseball. About the moments when I went to games and the chats, I can tell you that I no longer remember them. I only know that I went to practice baseball. Well, I think I only lasted about two years practicing this sport, but having had this experience from a young age gave me something to keep practicing other sports.
Later I went to play soccer, but what I want to convey to you is the importance of doing it from a very young age. It is like creating a habit that can last a lifetime.

Well, to people who have children, I recommend getting the little ones involved in some sport. This custom might become something incredible or a habit they maintain from a young age that later bears fruit by seeing your children develop good habits related to sports.

But I also think this can vary. Some might like music, entrepreneurship, or other activities. Every family has its own tastes.
But well, here I share a short story with you:
I remember that, with the batting tee, one day I hit the ball very hard and it went very far into the field. I ran out excited because I had connected a great hit while playing. But there was something I didn't do right: instead of running toward first base, I had a funny moment and ran straight toward third base. 😂⚾
Well, what I remember is that it was very funny for the people who were watching me. My grandfather and my dad were watching the game and, well, that day I don't know how the game turned out. I only know that that moment was one of the ones that stuck most in my mind.
The most important learning at that time was, for me, reinventing myself, although as a child I didn't understand those words. What I do know is that, since my grandfather liked baseball and the Yankees, I also started to like this sport. But when I moved cities, I no longer had that setting where I practiced on a baseball field.

I didn't get into playing baseball or, maybe, when I wanted to join, I was already at a different age, because in more advanced categories kids already start playing with pitchers. And, well, in a sport like baseball you have to have a lot of practice, because otherwise, that fastball from pitchers, hehehe, I wouldn't even be able to see it go by!
But what I wanted to tell you is that I started playing soccer. Here I only needed a ball and other little friends. From this stage I do remember much more: who my teammates were, their names, the friendships, and the feats we experienced playing soccer.
Above all, I remember being part of the school soccer team and being champion. Also with my classroom team we were the best and finished undefeated, nobody beat us playing futsal! This happened in the year 2012.
But well, many things have happened to reach those achievements, from playing in the neighborhood with some friends to improving my skills. I'll tell you that I never considered myself good at playing soccer; I did what I could, but when I saw others play, I always noticed there was someone better. Maybe at that time I didn't have the mindset I have now to understand many things, but anyway, I think I was good at playing, hehehe. I scored a lot of goals! 😂
Now, what I do nowadays is work out at the gym. This has helped me take care of my health and keep practicing sports activities.

What I want to tell you with this post is the importance of practicing a sport, whether from a young age or at whatever age you can. This will help you take care of your health and have moments that allow you to reduce stress. You can also enjoy moments of disconnection that help you recharge energies.
Above all, when you do sports or engage in physical activity, your body becomes stronger and more resilient, and you feel like you can return to your activities with a different energy.
This is very incredible and this is the experience I wanted to share with you, while also making a reflection from personal growth.
Greetings and see you in a future post!
