¡Hola a todos, comunidad de Holos Lotus! 👋

Lo he reflexionado: no me gusta estar atrapado ahí.

¡Hello everyone in the Holos Lotus community! 👋
Today I am joining the dynamic hosted by our friend @emiliorios. I really enjoy the topics they always bring to the table. Last time, I shared some thoughts about inner fire, and on another previous occasion, I took part in the initiative of writing based on images. This time around, I come to write about a topic I like to reflect on quite often: solitude. I hope you enjoy everything I bring here today, as I created it especially for this community. Here we go!

It is often said that solitude can show up even when we are surrounded by people. To be honest, when I am in a group, I don't feel lonely; on the contrary, I feel like a part of it. I enjoy listening to others, learning from their ideas, and understanding that everyone has lived different stories.
A good conversation always helps me view life from another angle. Perhaps that feeling only surfaces when I find it challenging to join a conversation, but I am still learning how to connect, join new activities, and live different experiences.

Sometimes, solitude creeps in when boredom appears, leading me to surf the internet or spend too much time on Instagram. I have reflected on it: I don't like feeling trapped there. I closed my Facebook account a while ago, and let's not even talk about TikTok; they are social networks I simply don't want to be on.

Although I use X to read quotes or follow interesting projects, and LinkedIn for professional matters, I know I must be mindful of how much time I dedicate to them. To avoid falling into inactivity, I set at least one task a day for myself. My favorite activity is writing and interacting on Hive, which helps me stay occupied and overcome boredom.
Accepting that some people are no longer around is a process. It may take a week or two of grief, but the real challenge lies in breaking the usual routine and starting to build new activities.
In that process of change, it is normal to feel lonely at times, but I lean on the great friends I have met along the way. I am truly glad to surround myself with people who are growing or doing things, just as I strive to keep moving forward and creating.

I have learned to be on my own and enjoy that peace: I can go out to eat by myself or go for a walk without company, knowing that the one keeping me company is my dog 🐶.
To keep the social side alive, I apply small daily actions:
- 📩 A simple message: Reaching out to the people who matter to me to let them know I'm there.
- 🌱 Nurture friendship: Understanding that good relationships are watered and cared for over time, just like a plant.
- 💻 ➡️ 🌳 Disconnect: Giving myself permission to step away from the computer to attend in-person activities and put my focus where it truly matters.

On this topic, a book by Silvia Congost really caught my attention ever since I read it (I highly recommend it to you all!), just as I enjoy learning by watching TEDx talks.
To me, solitude means knowing how to be well day by day, having a purpose, and doing what I love. I admit it can be tough sometimes if the day goes by without receiving a message from the people I care about, but that's okay: I am learning to focus on myself and what I want to achieve; everything else will come naturally with time.
The desire to have company, whether as a couple or not, is something I have worked on for years: accepting what is and keeping forward. I reflect a lot on the fuel of my life; if there are stages I haven't lived, I accept them and move on. I understand that love is not limited to a single source, but manifests everywhere:
- In family.
- In the loyalty of a dog.
- In the bond with a best friend.
- In the strength of faith and God.

All of this proves to me that I am never truly alone. Over time, I have learned to enjoy my own company, take care of myself, look for new ways to write, and keep learning on Platzi about Web3 and Human Resources. I am passionate about focusing on everything that nourishes me inside, while always keeping the doors open to connecting with others.
Thank you so much for reading! This has been my contribution to @emiliorios's initiative. See you all very soon in a future post around here!
