Saying goodbye to some old friends

I got a bucket FULL of little ponytail palms in 2007, ↑These↑ are the last ones. I can no longer move them easily, or rather barely at all. I barely water them, they are totally root bound and should be either root pruned

Root pruning is the process of trimming a plant's or tree's root system to fix rootbound conditions, stimulate healthy new growth, and maintain a compact size without upsizing the container

Both pots had outgrown their britches, I am going to miss having my gentle giants, but I can no longer care for them properly
