Turned down the VA proposed ramps

image.png ↑This was their proposal from the front porch, the ramp going some 34+ feet towards the street. I turned all that down this morning. This was my alternative proposal

Alternative ramp configuration.jpg So rather than going downhill from the front porch. making a greater drop and requiring more lenth, I said send the front porch ramp UPHILL to meet with the one coming down from the mudroom. Makes sense to me, but they couldn't modify at this point so I had to decline.

    Wow! Your design makes so much more sense, and eats less of the property, too! It's a shame they wouldn't modify the plans to conform with your brilliant suggestion! 😕
