The town is built from brief spaces, like tiny fragments of time occurring separately but conspiring to come together and tell a story... That's more or less how I sometimes understand it... And it's such a small place, good heavens, and so scarred by the claws of misfortune, and so wounded by persistent absences and deficiencies... But at the same time, so much happens here, in those "brief spaces," I say, that it would seem a waste to go out into the streets without a camera to steal, freeze, and preserve each one of them... And I repeat: That's more or less how I understand it. Because, evidently, this is a separate world map invented and reinvented in my head, I suppose. Because I don't see anyone else stealing brief spaces in these streets, so poor in luck and weary of oblivion...
El pueblo está construido de espacios breves, que son como pequeños trozos de tiempo ocurriendo separados pero conspirando para juntarse y contar algo... Así más o menos lo entiendo yo ocasionalmente... Y es un lugar tan pequeño, cielos santos, y tan arañado por las garras del infortunio, y tan herido de ausencias y carencias persistentes... Pero al mismo tiempo, ocurren tantas cosas aquí, en esos "espacios breves" digo, que pareciese un desperdicio el salir a las calles y no llevar una cámara para robar, congelar y guardar cada uno de ellos... Y repito: Así más o menos lo entiendo yo. Porque, evidentemente, este es un planisferio aparte inventado y vuelto a inventar en mi cabeza, supongo. Pues no veo a nadie más robando espacios breves en estas calles magras de suerte y hartas de olvido..

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape v3.7
NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape v3.7
