This delightful spot never disappoints when it comes to our searches [Esp/Eng].

I am always happy to be part of this fantastic community. I love taking part in the weekly invitation from our friend @ewkaw, and since her contest is one I truly enjoy, I make sure never to miss it. What makes it so interesting is the chance to learn about the various species that exist around the world.

This week, we returned to our favorite natural spot. As you know, there are several paths here that lead deep into the forest, perfect for our searches. The trail we chose led us to this fascinating genus. It’s a rare find for us—we’ve only come across it a few times—so I’m truly delighted to be able to share this discovery.

¨Podoscypha¨:

Once we finished photographing the previous species, we decided to change our search path; to do so, we took a route that led us toward the right side of the property. There, we came across a beautiful palm tree, on whose trunk we found this lovely "species":  which, as you know, is well-known in many parts of the world for its culinary value and various uses.

¨Pleurotus¨-¨ostreatus¨ :

Noticing that the terrain looked promising for our search, we took another path that led us toward a different side of the reserve. There, we had the excellent opportunity to come across this remarkable specimen: These are truly beautiful fungi, although, on this occasion, not all of them looked as lovely as we are accustomed to seeing them.

¨Parasola¨:

It’s always great when we head out with our "camera":  because whenever we do, we come across something beautiful to photograph. The mushrooms we found this time were fantastic, and I have to admit that I had a lot of fun during the search.

Good morning, @jlufer; thank you for sharing such a rare find—Podoscypha. I must say, your photographs are much better than the one on Wikipedia. As for the oyster mushroom, I believe I saw one recently in a nearby park. The photos of the Parasola genus are also very good. Thank you for sharing these walks.

I hope you have a wonderful Friday.

  • All the mushrooms you’re showing us today are beautiful; I love that we’re visiting this place to appreciate the mushrooms found there.
