Hello, Hive community! I hope everyone is happy and healthy. Today, I would like to share another wonderful story about my son Matthew and one of his school friends, Thirdy, who recently celebrated his fourth birthday.
Thirdy's birthday celebration was a special moment for the children, especially for my son, Matthew. Thirdy's family had been staying in Hong Kong, and he had not attended school for quite some time. His family wanted to make him happy and give him wonderful experiences, so when they returned, they decided to celebrate his birthday once again here in the Philippines. This time, they prepared a birthday celebration for him at school so he could enjoy the special occasion with his classmates.
What made the celebration even more exciting was that nobody knew they were going to have a birthday party that day. It was a surprise for everyone! Fortunately, Matthew and I attended school that day, so we were able to join the celebration and enjoy the delicious food prepared by Thirdy's family. We felt lucky to be there because we had the chance to share in such a happy occasion.
Thirdy and Matthew are best friends in their classroom. They have a special friendship because they are the only two boys in their class, while most of their other classmates are girls. Whenever Thirdy is absent, Matthew sometimes has to play by himself. Perhaps he feels a little shy about joining the girls in their activities, so he is much happier when his best friend is around.
As a mother, I feel happy whenever I see Matthew enjoying his time with his friends. Having someone he can play with makes his school experience more enjoyable. Friendship is important for children because it helps them learn how to share, communicate, and build relationships with others. I hope Matthew and Thirdy will continue to develop their friendship as they grow older and create more wonderful memories together.
Before the food was served, everyone gathered to celebrate Thirdy's special day. The children sang the birthday song for him, and it was heartwarming to see them celebrating together. Even simple moments like singing a birthday song can bring so much happiness to young children. Their smiles and excitement made the celebration feel extra special.
After the singing, the food was distributed to the children and their parents. Everyone had something to eat, and we were grateful for the delicious birthday treats. It was lovely to see the children enjoying their meals while spending time with their classmates. The celebration became an opportunity for the parents and children to share happiness and strengthen their connections with one another.
The surprises did not end with the food. Thirdy's family also gave the children toys that they had brought from Hong Kong. The children were delighted to receive these gifts, and Matthew was especially happy with his toy. His excitement was easy to see because he immediately started playing with it and enjoying his new little treasure.
What made me smile even more was seeing Matthew playfully wearing accessories, including a necklace, earrings, and a bracelet. The bracelet was actually one that belonged to him when he was younger. It was such a cute moment to watch him having fun and showing his playful personality. Sometimes, children find happiness in the simplest things, and seeing them express themselves freely makes every moment memorable.
It seems that birthdays have been happening one after another among Matthew's classmates. After Thirdy's celebration, I started thinking that Matthew might be the next one to celebrate his birthday at the end of this month. Since his birthday is approaching, I am already looking forward to another special family moment and, hopefully, another happy memory that I can share with everyone here in the Hive community.
As a parent, I feel thankful whenever my child gets to experience moments like these. School is not only a place where children learn their lessons, but it is also where they develop friendships, discover their interests, and experience the joy of being part of a community. Celebrations like Thirdy's birthday allow the children to learn about sharing, kindness, and making others feel special.
I am also grateful to Thirdy's family for sharing their celebration with the children and their parents. Their generosity made everyone feel included. The food filled our stomachs, the toys brought excitement, and the laughter and smiles made the day even more memorable.
By the end of the celebration, everyone seemed happy and satisfied. The children enjoyed the food and gifts, while the parents were able to witness another beautiful moment in their children's school life. Seeing the smiles on their faces was enough to make the occasion worthwhile.
