Me: He @joshman Yesterday I made a post to @themarkymark regarding an account that desperately needs to be looked at. So if I am saying this needs to be sorted out it must be bad right? https://steemit.com/@indicate This is the kind of thing that we really have flags for. You can follow your nose and find a nest. Let me know what you think Cheer

@themarkymark: flagged him to the point he stopped upvoting but he still posts the spam. Nothing can be done about that but hide him from the UI. Flagging 500+ $0.000 comments a day solves nothing.

Me: There were a few flags three days ago. He is still in business, many votes pouring in unimpeded yesterday and today Edit: It is a nest of socks not just one account

@themarkymark Show me a single comment of his over $0.000... I have a check on him if he ever upvotes a comment above $0.02. I have been flagging him for months and has stopped upvoting. The comments used to be $0.30 to $3.

END OF THREAD

Thankfully @spaminator has taken up the challenge. Remember that @themarkymark said: ''nothing can be done about that but hide him from the UI.'' If one of you is willing I would love to understand what the UI is.

What actions does the @themarkymark group of accounts takE against @joe.public

I am on auto downvote with every post and comment. Just a small one but enough to decrease my Rep score.

When I receive a lot of community support, @thmarkymark will also flag me with other accounts. Only rarely 100%, he keeps it as low as possible.

The reason for this is, if i receive a lot of support which does happen occasionally, he can remove the flag, then increase the % of the flag, even if it is past the cut off date for voting and flagging. The same thing applies with up votes but you are unable to keep your original position.

If you have a look at the @indicate group of accounts with steemworld you will see lots of incoming votes not given at 100%. Remember you can remove the existing votes and replace them with larger ones even after the cut off date.

Please think about why @themarkymark and others withing the existing Chain of Command are refusing to do anything about the @indicate group of accounts. He is obviously aware that votes/flags can be removed and exchanged for higher powered votes and flags. He has been doing exactly that with flags on this @joe.public account for some time.

Consider who may be the real owner of the @indicate group of accounts. I suspect that it will be someone reasonably high up the existing Steemit Chain of Command, what do you guys think?

Finally @artopium is freaking out badly right now because of the flag attacks by @themarkymark.

Please Stop by to check out his art photos and art dictionary then give him some love and encouragement.

Please consider Re-Steeming this post so people can form a clearer picture of what is going on, how this place is being controlled and manipulated. There are answers to turning this situation around, this is why I am being attacked.

I am feeling very optimistic regarding being able to set a new Democratic direction.

Lets make New Steem a reality and Orwell's 1984 fiction again.

Thank you for your attention

i have no idea why am i even involving myself into this but i wanted to see what it is all about. by just quick look on indicate account you can see that all post are 0$, you can also see that he spams 1000 of comments a day, and that they are 0$ (can't say that all of them are it is just shit ton of them...). if you go to his wallet on steempeak you will see that in the last month he got maybe 30-40 steem in rewards and if you look at it before the HF and free downvotes you will see he was getting that amount in 1-2 days. so can i say that nothing is done? not really.

" @themarkymark said: ''nothing can be done about that but hide him from the UI.'' If one of you is willing I would love to understand what the UI is."

UI is an abbreviation of User Interface, such as Steemit, Steempeak, Busy, and other platforms that allow Steem account users to interact with the Blockchain using their apps.

@fulltimegeek is unable to post to the UI, because of intolerable spam that has come from his botnet. @themarkymark defrauded @fulltimegeek of ~60 Steem (IIRC) which was due @fulltimegeek as a refund for a vote purchase, and Marky posted an image showing he had sent 60 Steem to @null, which he called the refund. This set @fulltimegeek off, and he and @berniesanders ended up in a flag/spamwar thereafter.

Steemit decided that the spam coming from @fulltimegeek was intolerable so they set up the #irredeemables list on Github, which they sought to include all of @fulltimegeek's bots on, and then they caused no post from that list to be displayed on Steemit. I am not a coder, but have ascertained that the mechanism they employed also caused UIs like Steempeak to also censor @fulltimegeek because Steempeak uses Steemit APIs.

That's what @themarkymark is referring to when he says 'hide him from the UI.' He means to add @indicate to the #irredeemables list on Github, so nothing he posts will be shown on the apps most people use to access Steem.

    Thanks!

"Nothing can be done about that but hide him from the UI."

UI means User Interface and its programming jargon for "that part of the system the user sees and interacts with." The blockchain cannot be edited or it's not a blockchain! However the Steemit.com website has been -modified- so it's possible for Steemit Inc to "hide" your posts. But like I said before you're 100% visible on Partiko and Busy.org. Not even greyed out.
