It's kind of funny when I think back, but this was the first family trip we had ever gone on.
The kids weren't babies by any stretch, and this was right after I got hired in my current job.
So to celebrate, we packed up the truck and headed to the Rocky Mountains and to Calgary for a long weekend getaway.
We spent a day in Banff as you can see from the first two pictures. It was extra special because we pulled over on the side of the road and had family worship along with a short picnic too!
There's nothing more majestic than the Rockies!
Then we took the kids to the Calgary Tower, which even had a glass floor for them to.....Stand on? Notice that my wife was too scared to set foot on it lol
And then we spent the day at the Calgary Zoo.
What a fantastic trip, and I plan on doing more of these short little family getaways in the future.
I highly recommend Calgary and area for some quality time with your loved ones!
