Welcome everybody and today, Am writing about Raya and the last dragon. So roll with me.
Bienvenidos a todos, y hoy voy a hablar sobre Raya y el último dragón, así que acompáñenme.
Raya is a young warrior who has spent years preparing to protect the Dragon Gem, something that is supposed to keep her people safe from a dangerous force known as the Druun. But after everything goes wrong, the gem is broken and the Druun return, turning people into stone. Raya then sets out to find the last dragon, Sisu, because she believes Sisu might be the only one who can help bring everything back to normal.
Raya es una joven guerrera que ha pasado años preparándose para proteger la Gema del Dragón, algo que se supone que debe mantener a su pueblo a salvo de una fuerza peligrosa conocida como los Druun. At first, I thought the movie was going to be a pretty straightforward fantasy adventure, but then I started noticing that the story was really more about trust than dragons. Raya has been betrayed before, so trusting other people isn't exactly easy for her. And throughout the movie, she has to keep deciding whether she should trust people even when she has every reason not to.
Al principio, pensé que la película iba a ser simplemente una aventura de fantasía bastante sencilla, pero luego empecé a darme cuenta de que la historia realmente trata más sobre la confianza que sobre los dragones. Raya ha sido traicionada antes, así que confiar en otras personas no es precisamente fácil para ella. Y durante toda la película, tiene que seguir decidiendo si debe confiar en los demás incluso cuando tiene muchas razones para no hacerlo.
The funniest part for me was definitely Sisu. Raya is serious, cautious, and always thinking about the danger around her, while Sisu is almost the complete opposite. She's cheerful, talkative, a little strange, and sometimes doesn't seem to understand just how dangerous the situation actually is. I actually found myself laughing more because of her reactions than some of the movie's bigger jokes.
La parte más divertida para mí fue definitivamente Sisu. Raya es seria, cautelosa y siempre está pensando en el peligro que la rodea, mientras que Sisu es casi todo lo contrario. Es alegre, habladora, un poco extraña y, a veces, parece no entender lo peligrosa que es realmente la situación. De hecho, me encontré riéndome más por sus reacciones que por algunos de los chistes más grandes de la película.
What I also enjoyed was how the movie kept introducing different characters as Raya travelled through the different parts of Kumandra. Everyone has their own personality and their own reason for joining Raya. Some of them are funny, some are serious, and some of them look like people Raya should probably stay away from. But slowly, they start becoming more like a team.
También disfruté de cómo la película iba presentando diferentes personajes mientras Raya viajaba por las distintas partes de Kumandra. Todos tienen su propia personalidad y su propia razón para unirse a Raya. Algunos son divertidos, otros son serios y algunos parecen personas de las que Raya probablemente debería mantenerse alejada. Pero poco a poco, empiezan a convertirse más en un equipo.
The movie is obviously built around the relationship between Raya and Sisu. Raya is always thinking about what could go wrong, while Sisu keeps believing that people can still choose to do the right thing. That difference between them made their journey more interesting for me because neither one completely understands the other at the beginning.
La película está claramente construida alrededor de la relación entre Raya y Sisu. Raya siempre está pensando en lo que podría salir mal, mientras que Sisu sigue creyendo que las personas todavía pueden elegir hacer lo correcto. Esa diferencia entre ellas hizo que su viaje fuera más interesante para mí porque al principio ninguna de las dos entiende completamente a la otra.
I think the character that surprised me the most was Namaari. At first, it's very easy to look at her as just another enemy who wants to stop Raya. But as the story continues, you start seeing that things between her and Raya aren't as simple as they first seem. They both have their own reasons, their own fears, and their own understanding of what happened between them.
Creo que el personaje que más me sorprendió fue Namaari. Al principio, es muy fácil verla simplemente como otra enemiga que quiere detener a Raya. Pero a medida que avanza la historia, empiezas a darte cuenta de que las cosas entre ella y Raya no son tan simples como parecen al principio. Ambas tienen sus propias razones, sus propios miedos y su propia manera de entender lo que pasó entre ellas.
Of course, the story isn't something we've never seen before. The idea of bringing different people together to save the world has been used many times. The message about trust is also pretty obvious. But I didn't really mind that because I don't need a movie to give me something completely new. If the characters are interesting and the journey keeps me entertained, I'm already having a good time.
Por supuesto, la historia no es algo que nunca hayamos visto antes. La idea de reunir a diferentes personas para salvar el mundo se ha utilizado muchas veces. El mensaje sobre la confianza también es bastante obvio. Pero la verdad es que no me molestó demasiado. A veces no necesito que una película me dé algo completamente nuevo. Si los personajes son interesantes y el viaje consigue entretenerme, ya estoy pasando un buen rato.
