This is my friend Jhon at the left, we affectionately call him Jhon de la Selva, the name for "Man of the Jungle" in his language is "Dearuhua." In this picture is also Magno at the middle, wich reminds me there's music we have to make!
Jhon is a member of an indigenous community in the Venezuelan Amazon, The Huottoja, and we've now had years of a relationship between trips to the community and, more recently, Jhon visiting us in the city.
The first time Jhon came, he brought with him a 50-kilo sack of Mañoco. That was his wallet and money, i've found other person in the world who is unbanked! but crypto is not a landscape to teach him when for him it is new to see a mechanical ladder. He told me that he wanted to learn to live like us, because he knows his ancestral knowledge is being lost and a synthesis must be made
after that visit we had looked to polish his product presentation and we're looking to support him and the community directly now with his bank account.
Music have been key part into our Journey and we have the project to create music in Huottoja with Jhon and the Kids of the community for their creative expansion.
