Someone I know was telling me about a guy he knows, he said that guy is very hardworking, has a great attitude to work, and never complains even when his employer pays him poorly.
Now this person I know told me that he actually has a job that could help this hardworking guy 50% more salary and improve his life massively but he knows the greedy employer of this person and he doesn't want the employer to feel he's taken away his hardworking employee.
So he basically has the ability to change the life of this hardworking guy, but he wouldn't because the employer would fight or quarrel with him.
So here's a person who is genuinely working hard, being underpaid, being a good guy, doing his job properly, absolutely deserves a pay rise, but his situation wouldn't change because the person who has the power to do it doesn't want to get into troubles with his employers. If you think life is unfair even think again.
You can do it right and still fail
There are people who have done everything right in life, but they still can't change the state of their lives because of one little situation that's beyond their control.
There are people that needs only the right connection to elevate their lives. They already have the zeal, the right attitude, the skills and the hardwork, but there's one piece of the puzzle which is the right connection, and they can't get it.
I think a lot of us may agree that being connected to that right people at some point is the reason why our lives significantly changed for the better.
If you're reading this post now, there must've been one person you can remember who has taken the risk and the choice to put us on to opportunities that must've impacted your finances, and if you think again, there are people who could have also given you the right connections to actually that you've needed at some point, but they didn't and because they didn't.
We missed out on significant life changing opportunities. I remember someone too who needed the help of his mother's friend.
Now this connection he needed could have significantly taken him from ground zero to ground 100, and this fellow agreed, but just at the last minute, the fellow in question said they weren't going to help anymore.
Now this help wouldn't have cost the potential helper much of anything, but they weren't willing to, for whatever reasons best known to them
Being good doesn't mean good Will happen to you.
It was honestly sad for the person who didn't get that help, and when I honestly said that to mention the snowball effect that the help may have done for that fellow, it just makes life even more cruel, complicated and very difficult to understand.
Now, connections is everything in life, not hardwork, skill or talent, connection.
The dark side of connection is not needing the right people, it's having the right people who have qualities like compassion and empathy. The right people that can connect you to the right opportunities are everywhere, but you'll most likely continue to stand alone in your needs because they're not the best people.
The best and the right are two different things.
In reality, most people always need connections, except they are born into it already. But life doesn't always work linearly. Someone who was helped today to get to a position where they can help others may refused to help others get the connections they want. This is why it boils down to the empathy and compassion of others to do good.
This is why you don't need the right people. The right person might just not even be good enough to you. Sure, they're the right people, their portfolio checks out, they can easily choose to be the best of people and you'll love it, but unfortunately the right people can do to do stupid things which makes them useless to you.
This is why the best people are the ones who are compassionate. The right people can be inconsiderate, selfish and unwilling even though life says "oh these are the right people"
Let's also look at life's cruel way of doing things. For example, I learned empathy and being considerate by experiencing the harshest realities of life. I may have not been the best of persons to a lot of people in the past, and most times I'm being reminded of this when I have my thought processes.
Sometimes I think of a situation ten years ago and wonder "I didn't treat this person right" I wish I did better. I remembered talking to someone last year, I left them in confusion and anger, and when I saw them recently, I asked them to forgive me because I treated them poorly.
A little bit of introspection.
This is to say that a lot of people are being unfair in life because they're actually not having the right introspection. A lot of people are unkind too because they're mindless, they don't take the time to think about their actions, thoughts, statement and all that. It's why life can be cruel, the universe itself can be cruel, but people in life mostly enables it.
We can choose to be kinder and this act of kindness can actually reduce the impact of the harshness of life's reality. Sometimes going out to help people makes a lot of difference, especially if the help might cost us relationships, provided we're doing the right thing ultimately, then this is all we need.
A little bit of introspection everyday is important, else we'll live life without being emotionally aware that life gets better when we become the ladder that someone else needs to scale. Be a better person everyday.
