Why the universe makes life harder when it's already hard for you.

2026 has been dark... I can say it's been one of the darkest times in my life, if I'm also considering years like 2014, 2022 and 2023. It's been from one crazy losses and turbulent time to another. Early in march I got robbed and all my plans to start up a business venture failed.

So I started hustling for AI jobs and gigs, and made many crazy financial mistakes out of desperation, but they only plunged me into further debts.

The electricity problem we've had has made it even more difficult for me to continue seeking for more job opportunities online, and that wasn't even all, I and a partner have tried crowdfunding for money by reaching out to people we could collaborate for business opportunities and it's been failures upon failures.

Everyday introduces a new level of failure, it's like there's always an all time high for the horrible events, and everyday just brings more crazy stuff.

I know hard times like this are part of life, but since 2026, it's been difficult to see any good stuff that has happened in the year, it's been the most challenging for me in terms of finance and losses, limited opportunities, failure to secure jobs, falling prey to hacks and scams and suffering from a systemic failure that caused me health issues, and many others.

I've been severally sick and that's because I've been giving too much blood and effort to try and secure opportunities for myself, which has led to poor sleep.

There are other things I don't want to mention because of privacy sake, but it's safe to say there is currently no light at the end of the tunnel and it's been dark on all fronts.

So, I'll probably rank this year as the 2nd most challenging year of my life since 2014/2015, and it's just two months away before the year ends. It's safe to say the year is wrapped up, if it were not for the electricity issues.

I may have had a shot at securing an online gig, but the way it looks , it's probably not happening this year, because jobs depends on electricity, especially when it's online.

I've tried to keep it steady on my end, but I go to bed everyday worried, sad and dejected. I sleep poorly which in turn prevents my body from recovering well, my other responsibilities also makes it hard to get 6 to 7 hours of sleep on a daily.

This morning I had a thought process, which led me to decide on one thing: my system might suffer from severe stress which might activate an illness, which in turn makes it difficult to function.

On a general ground.

Life can get this hard sometimes and when you don't die or capitulate, then it might get better after a long time, or after a while. For me the year started horribly in February, and since then it hasn't gotten better.

This is the unfairness of life. Sometimes people think life gives you one bad moment, and create a comic relief by giving you one good moment to balance it, but most times it's the direct opposite.

In 2022 I lost my mum in July and 13 months later I lost my brother too. No comic relief, no good news to counter the horrible experience, and it's not just me, there's a universality in the human experience that makes life collectively suck for many people.

Yesterday night I heard someone died after that initially lost their only son. Okay, imagine someone who heard their business is on fire, then they got into the car, rushing to where the first is, only to hit someone on the road with their car, who then died instantly, then they go arrested and sentenced to prison.

Just imagine from being a successful business owner to losing that business and now rotting in jail. Now, you'd think the universe will spare you some slack because you're going through things, but in reality the people who are going through horrible moments have the tendencies to even experience more horrible events in their life, because let's face it, being in a bad place exposes you to more bad things and that's the reality of life.

Conclusion

Life can go incredibly well when you catch a break, but go horribly wrong when one bad things opens doors to sequences of horrible things in life. While there's something called positive momentum, we often underestimate or don't even realise there's something called negative momentum.

The only hope is to catch a break, and series of good things can happen, but when a person does not, then it'll just continue. For me, I hope to catch a break soon, cuz it's just been too difficult asking people to come through for me, it's mostly not who I am, and asking for helping is one of the things I hate doing the most.

That whole snowball effect when everything goes wrong at once is honestly the most exhausting part. I really hope things finally level out for you soon.
