Soon, you may start monetizing your LinkedIn - Are you ready?

LinkedIn first launched in 2023, as a professional networking platform and it has traveled a long way. It has become a very busy space for personal branding, job posting and hunting, knowledge sharing, content creation and more.

And it keeps growing.

In 2026, LinkedIn's members are more than 1.3 billion and its revenue reached $17.8 billion in 2025. LinkedIn revenue comes from Premium subscriptions and advertising.

Apparently, the platform is now ready to allow professionals to earn from their expertise.

How?

In October 2026, LinkedIn announced that it is rolling out new tools to help creators and professionals turn their knowledge into income. This is currently being tested in USA, and we will probably hear more about it soon.

Eligible professionals can offer one-to-one consultations directly through their profiles, with bookings, payments and video meetings integrated into the platform and also Selected creators can earn revenue when ads appear before their eligible videos.

A new dashboard for creators is introducing new tools with statistics, and performance information.

One thing to know is that this is currently limited to invited Premium Business Subscribers (and only in the USA)

In case you are wondering what it costs to get started, in Europe the premium business costs approximately 53€ per month. When I try to get premium, I only get this 0 euro for the first month, but it requires a CC and I have not tried it out tbh

What are your thoughts about this? Is it a good move? Will it become popular and invite more people in the platform?

What are some of the questions that have come up to mind.
What about Professional Business Pages. I think this would be a great thing to consider - allowing businesses to become monetized.

What about LinkedIn earnings, other than the Premium subscription? Will they also receive a % of the creators' profits?

What remains to be seen is, will professionals realistically earn enough? Will there be demand? When will those features become accessible to the rest of us?

I’m curious to see how this develops.

What about you?

If you use LinkedIn, how often do you visit it? Do you feel that you receive value out of this platform? If yes, is it through learning, networking, finding opportunities or building professional relationships? Have you ever really found a job through LinkedIn?

I’d love to hear your thoughts!
