Coming home... That's how it feels to write this post after so long—a year, to be exact. I'm happy to greet you from my blog, and I hope that every word you read feels like a warm hug, because they're filled with all that emotion.
Nunca quise escribir un post de despedida porque tenía la certeza de que tarde o temprano mi corazón me traería de vuelta a este espacio que me ha enseñado tanto.
I feel the need to apologize to all of you—especially to my fellow members of the Needleworkmonday community—for my long absence. A lot has happened in my life during that time. Some very personal circumstances led me to decide to stop blogging and step away from my responsibilities on the platform.
I never wanted to write a farewell post because I was certain that sooner or later my heart would bring me back to this space that has taught me so much.
My blog recently celebrated its 6th anniversary on Hive, but I can only count 5. Five years of posts full of creativity, sharing photos from trips and outings—but also ideas, thoughts, and emotions. Today I want to reconnect with my creative side; I want to reawaken all those skills that Hive helped me discover as my blog grew. Some health issues have kept me away from my great passion: crochet. Nevertheless, I always try to do something that nourishes my creative spirit, and that’s exactly what I want to share on my blog.
This time, I want to approach my posts from a much more organic perspective, one that allows me to express myself spontaneously and naturally as someone who simply wants to share experiences with anyone who wants to read them. I don’t intend to post tutorials, since I don’t have much time for crafts. I want my blog to be a space where I can just be myself, in all my facets and in all my forms. That’s exactly why I decided to change my cover image and, instead of writing “Kattycrochet”—which is my blog’s original name—I wrote “Just Katty.”
Gracias por dedicar tiempo para leer este post. Un abrazo, Dios les bendice. 🤗
I’m really happy to be writing again, but also to read your posts and appreciate what you share. Little by little, I’ll be sharing everything I’ve been up to. I’ll try to post as often as possible, but I don’t want to feel pressured—my only motivation for picking up the blog again is to reconnect with my creative passions, always with a sense of freedom and spontaneity.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post. Hugs, and may God bless you. 🤗
