Meet Lyreca, She Loves To Dance!

Well no, she doesn't Love Anything because she is AI.

YouTube recommended the AI music I wrote about the other day, and since I clicked on that and a few related AI music videos, the YouTube AI decided I needed to see more AI. That's when Lyreca came my way.

So this is seemingly a project of someone who made an AI character and then decided to put her in both Short and long form dance videos with popular songs of various genres. The Videos don't have large viewership but the Shorts seems to hit.

Sugar Sugar - The Archies

Here are 3 YouTube Shorts of Lyreca dancing to Oldies. First up is the most popular Short on this YouTube channel with 1.2 Million views. It is Lyreca dancing to what I think was the most popular song in 1969. The song is Sugar Sugar, and just like Lyreca, the "band" who had this huge hit also Was Not Real! It was released by The Archies, a cartoon group from Riverdale. The real singers were Ron Dante and Toni Wine.

She's not real but the moves are. I can get some good exercise doing these moves.

Don't Be Cruel - Elvis

Here is Lyerica and 2 friends, dressed in mini skirts and white Go Go boots. She has her usual hair style but the girlfriends have that 50s or 60s look. This Short got 800K views. Like Sugar Sugar, I can dig the dance moves. Easy to do! I like that. :)

Stupid Cupid - Connie Francis

This one is a 50s Oldie but Lady Lyrica is still dressed like it is 1966. Same short dress and white boots. Again, cool dance moves. I think maybe the AI "borrowed" these moves from Nancy Sinatra in her TV performances of her hit, These Boots Were Made For Walkin'. This vid has over 450K views.

What will YouTube show me next?

I'm ready to come back to reality.

I'm not a big fan of AI music and videos but some of it is fun. Agreed, a small percentage. Most misses the mark.

But I don't hate it either. I'll check it out if I wanna.

Kind of reminds me of MIDI instruments and Sequencers and Digital Audio Workstations when they came out some years ago. People didn't like it because it wasn't real instruments played and recorded in real time. But we survived all the 80s synth stuff and drum machines and loops etc.

I guess some will become good at making AI music and they will find their audience. I'll check some of it out now and then. But as for me, I still prefer live bands playing their own music.

And That's All

Happy Friday, friends!

I'm not ready to accept AI creativity yet. Somehow it reminds me of fast food: a lot, quickly, but not filling !ALIVE !INDEED !LOL

Ai music is good, it mimics humans well, but it's low effort and not creative as Ai does everything
