This time, a new game has recently been added to the Hive ecosystem. I’m talking about Hive Town. The game is in its early stages of development, and I think it’s looking pretty good. Since these are the initial phases of the game, some mechanics and features are still to be added or changed to improve the user experience and make the game even more appealing.
First, I have to say that I really like the color scheme of the title screen; I really like the green tones—I think it’s spot-on in that regard.
The title screen already shows us the game’s available options (I’ll say it again: this is a beta version, and I’m sure more options will be added as the game progresses). For now, there’s “Dark Ruins,” where we have to defeat some skeletons and a spider that attack us. As we advance and venture deeper into the ruins, the skeletons become stronger and larger. And then we reach the first major boss: a giant skeleton. I should mention that defeating it is a bit tricky (at least for me), since the skeleton is powerful—you have to dodge well and not let it hit you, or else you’ll be sent back to the beginning.
Well, let’s move on to the next part of the game, and I have to say this is my favorite. The Zombie Arena is a shooter where zombies appear everywhere, and you have to shoot them until they’re dead. The zombies are really well done—I actually loved the zombie design.
I think the Zombie Arena has a lot of potential; I believe more mechanics could be added to the game here in the future. For example, two or more players, where one of them is the zombie and the other is the person who has to shoot. A sort of 1-on-1. They could even hold tournaments here and create a general leaderboard to see who takes down the most zombies or who’s the best 1-on-1 player.
Then there’s the Contest House, a community pool that’s raising 100 Hive, which will go to the winner. As I write this, the total raised is 6.6 Hive; you can contribute to the pool to help reach the goal. You can see who has contributed and how much.
Next, we have Creator House, which lets you promote any post you want. Just copy and paste the post’s link here, and it will be promoted for 24 hours. I think this is a great way to give a post visibility for a set amount of time. And as you can see, the most popular posts will appear on the board. It’s an interesting idea, to be honest. I’m excited to see what kinds of posts will be shared.
And since no city is a city without a tavern, here’s the tavern. This serves as a sort of guide—here you can see the posts and other options within the game, and from here you can access those options.
I think that in the future, the Tavern could have many more options—for example, a place where players can gather, perhaps to trade items, armor, weapons, or anything else useful for going on adventures.
I think the Tavern feature opens up a whole range of possibilities for many more things; I believe the Tavern can be expanded further, and the activities available here are very diverse—I really like this.
Well, there’s Hive Town. I think it’s a game with a lot of potential for development; it’s still in its early stages, but it’s worth playing.
If you’ve already played it, what did you think? I’d love to know.

Me gustaría saber.
