Feliz sábado, en la papelería ha habido mucho movimiento a pesar de los cortes eléctricos de 6 horas o más, que sufrimos de de manera diaria. Pero, pese a ello, hay que hacer que el negocio funcione. Fuera de ello, quiero en esta ocasión compartir con ustedes una elaboración de un cartel de nacimiento para bebé. Es mi primer cartel de nacimiento, me han solicitado varias veces el valor o precio, pero no se había concretado con anterioridad nada.

Este tipo de producto se encuentra mucho en tendencia, de variadas temáticas, colores, según el sexo del bebé y la paleta de colores que deseen usar los padres. Les cuento que mis archivos son creados desde cero por mi, cosa que me da una libertad enorme para llevar a la realidad las ideas de mis clientes

Happy Saturday! It’s been busy at the stationery shop, despite the daily power outages lasting six hours or more. Still, the business has to keep running. On that note, I’d like to share how I created a baby birth announcement sign. This is my first one; I’ve been asked about the price several times before, but nothing had actually materialized until now.

These signs are very trendy right now and come in a wide range of themes and colors, depending on the baby's gender and the color palette the parents prefer. I should mention that I create my designs from scratch, which gives me tremendous freedom to bring my clients' ideas to life.

Para realizar este lindo cartel de bebé, la clienta me comparte la referencia de lo que deseaba. A partir de allí, manos a la obra. Inicié buscando las imágenes que necesitaría, les retiro las marcas de agua, paso por un mejorador y remuevo fondo. Después de tener todo ello, me lo llevo al programa por defecto de mi plotter de corte y voy armando todo el cuerpo, capas, ajustando tamaños. Silhouette es una verdadera bendición para crear todo a medida, es un programa de diseño maravilloso.

To make this cute baby poster, the client shared with me the reference of what she wanted. From there, let's get to work. I started by looking for the images I would need, I removed the watermarks, went through an enhancer and removed the background. After having all this, I take it to the default program of my cutting plotter and I put together the entire body, layers, adjusting sizes. Silhouette is a real blessing to create everything to measure, it is a wonderful design program.

Como paso siguiente, paso a agrupar y duplicar mi diseño. Así me queda uno para guía y muestra de armado, el duplicado es desagrupado y separado por material y color. Este paso es importante porque me ayuda a organizar la cantidad de material y piezas que necesito de un determinado color.

As a next step, I move on to group and duplicate my design. So I have one left as a guide and assembly sample, the duplicate is ungrouped and separated by material and color. This step is important because it helps me organize the amount of material and pieces I need in a certain color.

Después de organizado todo por color, inicio con el proceso de impresión, voy agrupando los elementos, imprimiendo y luego cortando con el plotter. Seguidamente paso al corte de los materiales diferentes, para este proyecto he usado una variedad de cartulinas, como cartulina metalizada dorada y blanca, doble faz, cartulina tornasol. Todo eso va a corte tapete por tapete. Mi Cama o ancho de trabajo de 12 por 12 pulgadas, así que organizo según el espacio me lo permite.

After everything has been organized by color, I start the printing process, grouping the elements, printing and then cutting with the plotter. Next, I move on to cutting the different materials. For this project I have used a variety of cardboard, such as gold and white metallic cardboard, double-sided, and iridescent cardboard. All of this is going to be cut mat by mat. My bed or work width is 12 by 12 inches, so I organize as space allows.

Al haber terminado todos los cortes, sigue el armado de cada pieza con sus capas. Para ello, me gusta mucho usar cinta doble contacto con relieve, esto me ayudara a agilizar un poco el armado porque tiene ya pegamento por ambos lados, al mismo tiempo que me ayuda a darle relieve a las piezas. Esta parte del proceso es de mucha paciencia, pero me divierte mucho ver como cada figura va tomando más detalle.

Once all the cuts have been completed, the assembly of each piece with its layers continues. For this, I really like to use double contact tape with relief, this will help me speed up the assembly a bit because it already has glue on both sides, at the same time it helps me give relief to the pieces. This part of the process requires a lot of patience, but I really enjoy seeing how each figure takes on more detail.

Teniendo listas las piezas con su respectivo relieve, trabajaremos ahora en el armado final del cartel. Inicié por la parte principal superior, siguiendo por las nubes y colocando las frases. Para unir, uso silicon caliente, silicon frío y la misma cinta de montaje, todo depende del caso de uso.

Having the pieces ready with their respective relief, we will now work on the final assembly of the poster. I started with the main upper part, continuing through the clouds and placing the phrases. To join, I use hot silicone, cold silicone and the same mounting tape, it all depends on the use case.

En este punto, también incorporé la cinta, para colocar los detalles colgantes. El alto final del cartel fue de 90 centimetros. Como paso final, coloqué un refuerzo en foami rosado para cada unión de cinta, así como también coloqué la cinta final superior, que sería por donde le podríamos colgar en la pared o puerta.

At this point, I also incorporated the ribbon, to place the hanging details. The final height of the poster was 90 centimeters. As a final step, I placed a pink foam reinforcement for each ribbon joint, as well as placed the top final ribbon, which would be where we could hang it on the wall or door.

Para darle un toque más tierno y lindo, pegué estrellitas, circulos, perlas.

To give it a more tender and cute touch, I glued stars, circles, pearls.

Aquí en la siguiente foto les muestro como se ve el cartel ya empacado y listo para entregar a la clienta. Este proyecto entre diseño, corte y armado, me tomó unas 4 horas aproximadamente.

Here in the next photo I show you what the poster looks like, already packed and ready to deliver to the client. This project, between design, cutting and assembly, took me approximately 4 hours.
